These are paper cutouts taped to the rim of a bicycle wheel. Just lit it dramatically, taped it with a DVcam and edited it in iMovie. I use singleframer (free program) for my stop motion stuff.
I always liked this piece. Good lo-fi response to benwayphd (chuckle).
