i dumbass hit the dislike button who thinks makin beats consists of sittin at a computer with a mouse in one hand and his dick in the other.....and he thinks that is hiphop!!!
@GanEdenAustralia skrillex bro, he uses an mpc. and i have a friend who makes electronica and techno who also uses an mpc. But the mpc is always given focus when talking about hip-hop because it was the backbone of hip-hop and still is in many ways
its actually both midi production and music production ... i have a mpc 2000xl that says midi production and a mpc 2500 that says music production ,... , , so in all reality its both ..
@mpchead621 actually it is midi production center as well... seeing as how i own a 2k xl and it says on it midi production center... but maybe you own a newer one and they have changed it since then
yep been on mpc for 13 years, But I use nothing but controllers now,Way more options,So when people ask me what drum machine to get I suggest a controller and programs, and be done with it
I couldn't agree with you anymore! My first beat machine was the mv-8000. It was a great piece of equip, but hardware cost way too much money. Having a mpc or mv means you need sound modules and the list goes on. After finding and discovering the capabilities in what I think is the best DAW period (Ableton Live 8 Suite - lol), I have just sold my mv today! (real talk) Software just allows you to do what a mv or mpc can do...but on steriods!! I'm rocking ableton live 8 suite & mpk61!
yep ableton is music on steroids that is what i tell people.lol that program is amazing it will do what ever you want and then some,Can't wait for the bridge,
@prettdboy OUCH - you should have kept it unless you needed the money!
I switched to Ableton / Cubase from MPC / Hardware around 8-9 years ago and I wish I'd hung on to my gear! Don't get me wrong - I love Ableton - but the little bit of change that second hand gear gets you isn't worth it. I had a couple synths I'd take back... :-(
Dope vid. I had my MPC 2000XL stolen back in '02. Ever since then I've just invested in beat makin software. I learned how to freak Fruity Loops because of my previous MPC experience. Nowadays ppl bug out when I tell 'em I use Fruity Loops.
