No amount of money or compensation can repay decades of incarceration, however, people who are found to be innocent need to be appropriately compensated. Lump sum payment, pension, insurance, mental health counseling, ect...
A jury of their peers (society) found these people guilty and society got it wrong, therefore its only right that society some how repays them.
