I actually know a really easy way to beat it. All you need is one Pikmin and some patience. As soon as you launch one at its face, it'll start to shake a whole bunch while being hit. As soon as it stops, call your Pikmin off of it, especially if it's a flower Pikmin, so you don't risk it turning into a leaf Pikmin. It'll roll from side to side for awhile and once it stops, repeat. :3

Even though this seems to be a very effective means of defeating the Empress, it's just too time consuming.

I made it without losing pikmin by tossing them all on the ledge, walking out to kill all the babies as they came close to us, and let the Empress herself finish the job..

A lot of people don't seem to realize that ultra-spicy spray makes the purple pikmin weaker. They sacrifice strength for speed.

Case in point, when I fought the man-at-legs with purples, the initial barage took away about 50% of its health while using the spray. I tried again without, and they removed about 70% of its health.

It died before it could attack both times, though, so its not too significant in that particular case.

I kill all babies and then I leave one of them on empress bulblax' ass. Then I go up with the Pikmin and go to her face and when she starts rolling I go to her face with the poor one, who is now half eaten by the babies XD

Actually, the last boss was rather easy for me. I just left the cave when I got there and re-entered with 90 Yellows, 5 Reds, and 5 Whites (For obstacles.) I actually lost more pikmin to the Bulborb Larvae (The babies during this fight) than the Titan Dweevil O_O
