Very nice. I find the tone appropriate and appealing. You pretty much copped all the fills note perfect. Your feel is different from Knopfler but still good. Wow, you got the solo pretty well too. You've obviously done your homework on this song. Overall very nice. And a special kudo to the camera person for zooming in during the solo. Now you'll just have to figure out somewhere to work in the Bigsby.
and i`ll have to add, the distorsion is just awesome, nevermind that mark is playing it clean, the guy did it his way, more attitude, good that he`s not chasing somebodys sound . . .
stratojetb47, I suppose whenever you see professional bands live they rarely play them like the original recording anyway. I use my Strat through a Fender Hotrod Deville. It sound nice. But hey! Horses for courses mate. As long as we enjoy our music it doesn't really matter what clobber we use.
This sounds too distorted. The guitarist should get a Strat for this one and ditch the plectrum. I wasn't a bad cover but would sound better with cleaner Fender single coil tones, middle & bridge pick ups.
When I saw Mark Knopfler live, he used a Strat with some Marshall cabs and Divided by 13 amps. Gotta tell you, it was not Fender clean as the original . Thanks for the comment. I don't do this one anymore and I prefer the sound of Gretsch pikup more than Fender, for most of the stuff I do nowadays. This Schecter has 3 Gretsch like pickups, which tend to put more load into the amp. I also like P90's which have more bite and more oumph than single coils Fender picups.
The Fuchs AMP and the some boosters (Lovepedal and Xotic RC Booster) kind of helped . Thanks, appreciated. I really am suprides with the Schecter. One of the very best Guitar... for my style anyway...
