VIDEO 101: Take your hands off the camera. Place the camera on a tripod or other stationary object before the lecture begins, make sure the framing and sound levels are good, and then go sit down. Not necessary to keep noisily manipulating the camera every minute for three hours straight, unless a. you have no concern for the results, or b. you think YOU are the star of the video and therefore must constantly assert your presence and agency.
@JohnsonPollock also grab the audio from the mic in front of him. Not so hard to run it into a laptop, do audio capture there, and connect the speaker to the laptop output.
I still listened to the whole thing and let me just save some people some time.
Chomsky covers his standard topics with information you can find in many other of his videos, nothing really stands out except for a small discussion on his opinions of the federal reserve, Ron Paul and currency. I am hesitant to paraphrase, though.
If you have speakers that are decent, you can hear 95% and understand it.
@Zatzzo Mostly his general criticisms of Ron Paul's de-regulation policy, what it would lead to (fascism, corporate tyranny, no social services) and Chomsky doesn't really view the federal reserve as a big problem, mostly a distraction from obvious problems. I really don't like summarizing chomsky, its probably best if you google "chomsky.info ron paul" or something like that. He writes about him every now and then.
@Dymdez its true Fedral reserve bank isn't a problem its best system than we can have, Gold-standard didn't work and never will.To fight the growing poverty in USA one must distribute the money better. You can't import products from china with out creating new jobs in usa thats the main . What Government should have done is create new well payed jobs by stimulate new projects if they did, everything would have been fine you still can do it or stop importing and produce in usa
Terrible audio, I hope someone does captions.
