This is for sure 100% Bageshree Kanada. Pt. Sanjeev ji is a wonderful wonderful man very nice person and BadeGuruji Pt. Jasraj ji is too. His hand gestures are simple and not disrespectful. Bhimanna's body language was very big and but he is still a great singer his is not regarded as disrespectful. Sanjeev ji is a brilliant vocalist and he deserves to make whatever body languages he likes, he sings with lots of bhaav so he needs to like BadeGuruji and Bhimanna.
Its rare to come across anything in this raag and thanks to you, we have non other than Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj showing us how it is done :).
Sanjeev, always a bit dramatic with his body language for a hindustani classical singer, somewhat immodest sometimes. His voice sweet as honey though, bless him.
its lil confusing.....its nearer ro bageshree bahar....the way the gandhar and then rishabh is been taken by the panditji.......it might b bageshree kanada too...
Absolutely spellbinding! I truly do not know how anyone can feel that listening to Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar is torture...He is a legend, technically perfect, with an extremely sweet voice, and powerful bhaav.
Sanjeev Ahayankar may be technically well-prepared but definitely lacks the soul ad the depth and the 'ras' of Panditji. Was actually a bit of a grating torture to listen to his insipidity after the vocal magic of Panditji.

i was about to say that i didn't think sanjeev abhyankar was 'unleashing' himself completely.
then i heard the take at 6:05.

People who say Sanjeev is imperfect have no idea about Hundustani Classical Music. He has very beautifully imbibed the ras of his Guru very well

@lycannow .. not aware of any truly learned commenting on Sanjeev as imperfect.. one of the brightest flagbearers of Indian classical.

Sounds like Raag Bahar or Miya Malhar to me. Not quite sure.

It does sound somewhat like Miyan ki Mlahar. Are Shahana and Miyan ki Malhar related?

Both use mainly the same notes (thaat Kafi), but have different phrases I think.
