People he is performing a version of a magic effect that was first known as the Hummer card. The idea belonged to a magician named Bob Hummer. But it dates even further back then Bob. In the old Vaudville days a top hat used to be sailed out over the first few rows of the audience and then fly back to the performer. It used the same method that this kid is using. It's not mind power. or anything like that it is a simple magic effect.

If the string was in his mouth then put onto his thumb as some of you said, then how was it still floating when he picked up the camera? Everyone's too caught up on trying or acting like they figured out how they did it rather than enjoying the show. He didn't ask anyone to try and figure it out. As far as I know he wants to give entertainment whether it's real or fake.

There's a string from the card to his mouth. He is moving it away by hanging it on his thumb. It's an elementary trick that I used to do in fifth grade. Nothing complicated to it.
