  • same here it makes u rember good ol times n shit

  • I used to sing this song in my after school program way back in elementray school. Good times indeed.

  • This song brings back memories, but for a bad and wierd reason.

I went to a pub for lunch and you could hear the radio gently in the background.

When i went to have a slash, there was a speaker in the toilets.

As i was doing my buisness, some guy came out one of the stools, followed by another from the same one.

I looked at them and they glared at me and told me to fuck off.

I don't know what they were doing and i don't wanna. That's why i remember this song lol

  • Thomas Kinkade!

  • The ultimate dysfunctional relationship!

  • it really gets your feet tapping and brings a smile on the face, doesn't it (:

  • I like the song and all...but what makes you smile? - the lyrics are more than depressing. Some schmuck is mistreating another schmuck (for putting up with that treatment). Sad. Too close to home...

  • 'some schmuck is mistreating another schmuck' - haha, nicely said . but you see, CCR - bad moon rising has depressing words too but it makes me smile every time i listen to it, like this song . it's just the tune . . the happy-feet-tapping-tune, haha . and maybe the idea of the old-good-times i never had the chance to see . and, come on, the lyrics are not so depressing at all, it just all depends how we read between the lines, i guess (:

  • Ah well, like I said...hits me too close to home. I'm the stupid schmuck in the song - I heard this on the way home today and was like - ouch!

No one should treat another...or let another treat them like that. But we do, and it stinks.

Anyway - I understand...the music IS fun. I agree with you on "Bad Moon Rising" too.

  • lol - let me clarify (both schmucks are very stupid, but I'm the one being used and abused by the one who thinks they are so special that they can just toy with another's life like that).

Like you needed to know? ha ha - just venting...

  • not a good video but really good song love it but lol they should add pics lol

  • we hav to sing this song for our choir at school :/

  • @greenday26562

  • That's my front yard...you get used to it.

  • You misunderstand me. Math is sometimes referred to as the Universal Language because the principles of mathematics are not subject to interpretation the way the meaning of a word can be. In fact, messages sent into space use a code based on mathematics because any sentient life that may intercept it won't speak an Earth language.

But, because some of us suck at math (which I do) it can't necessarily be used to communicate with everyone.

But who doesn't love a good song?

  • build me up butter cup babe never lets me down

  • The year was 1968.

I had just watched Millwall win, at Home in New Cross and this came blaring out from a shop.

Weirdly, 40 years on, and I still remember that moment.

  • It's nice to know that there are so many songs to help people deal with emotions and situations like this one

  • It's such a good song but Build me up Buttercup Judith from Where the Wild Things Are Don't Break My Heart.

From the snow leopard cat kid. Check out my user page. Speeking about obsessed I'm obsessed with Where the Wild Things Are book, movie, & the CGI Test Video.

  • i think tv still shows how old musci is still alive, such as in commercials and tv shows. I'm 15 and i nkow a lot of older songs that i think are very catchy.

  • I agree that rap and hip-hop killed music. "New school" means a $99 Casio keyboard and one montonous 4-measure looped beat for a few minutes. Yawn!!! This song and songs like it were real songwriting and melodic instrumentals. Complete with interludes and key changes and all. Not like the droning they churn out these days.

  • As much as I love this song and music as a collective, I need to disagree with you when you say rap and hip-hip killed music.

I am not a giant fan of either genre, but there are particular artists within those respective genres who really do it quite well and add a lot to it. Maybe you haven't come across decent hip-hop/rap artists yet, ones that are more than just an image. Saying that those genres killed music is just downright wrong, but that's just an opinion.

  • motown is the shit

  • it may be..but this ain't motown

  • This isn't a Motown song

  • This definitely isn't a Motown song. The Foundations were British. It's soul. Still great though!

  • He is right. :D
