Didn't mean to say English humour is bad altogether but the above stand-up is exactly what English humour is in it's worst : Going on and on and on without going _further_ in the joke. How much effort Eddie really put into this joke? - there could've been endless gags to be pulled out yet it's enough for him to keep babbling like an actor on a bored improv... He's Ok otherwise.

I think what it was MEANT to mean was that it was in the future, but the story was being told from further in the future, therefore a long long time ago for them was still the future to us
