Any idiot can extract big horsepower from a v8, It's like kobe shooting 2's through a hula hoop. But it takes a genius to extract the same and even more power from an engine twice as small. And when these same smart people do make a car that has 8 or more cylinders, you'd better watch out. Drag racing and Nascar are not exactly the hardest type of racing out there. Endurance, response, power to weight and agility are huge factors. horsepower numbers are for talkers, lap times are for walkers!
