It has been a while since I have posted that tutorial, but if memory serves me, I did show a short segment near the end on how to fix that. If this is not the case, sketching a line, adding a pierce relation if required and then adding a tangent relation should smooth out the transition. I will take another look at it when time allows.
Excellent video. I'm no slouch at making spring myself, but I have a question that I don't know the answer to. When you are adding an extension to the end of the helix, is there a way to snap it so it is perfectly tangent to the end of helix? If you'll notice, you have almost an "edge" of sorts because the extension is only flush with the end surface of the helix, and not tangent with the helical curve itself. Any thoughts?
Really great video man, but, why didnt you use the 3-D sketch? it would have been way easier
