Circle around it, Keep your shield up. They telegraph their moves pretty well, so a well timed roll will avoid most of the damage you would otherwise take.And add str so you can weld that drake sword one handed, it will do you a ton of good.

Excellent attempt. I'm fully geared NG+ fully ascended weapon fully upgraded armor, and that fight is still hard.

Actually to grab one enemies attention and draw them to you is "Pulling"."Kiting" is when one person grabs aggro from an enemy and runs around while other players attack him.

I think James should focus on getting his strength high enough to use the Drake Sword with one-hand. Shouldn't take long at all, and then he'll do MUCH better. Actually, if he could've one-handed the sword for that gargoyle fight he probably would've won first attempt. He did pretty good with a spear and only a few flasks.

I agree, James did better than I thought he would, this is one of the hardest bosses without using the summon sign, probably the 3rd hardest boss for me...

Two hand the drake sword and get the first one down quickly.. Otherwise, its one of the hardest bosses in the game if you use a normal weapon like that spear. You can buy the heater shield from the undead merchant to negate fire damage too.
