Just started reading the Sin war trilogy a while ago and it's just excellent! and while reading I like to listen to the "new tristram" theme looped from diablo 3... it gives a pretty good atmosphere
The sin war is when the Burning pits of hell and the high heavens take there battle into sanctuary for mortal souls. Read the book the Sin War by Richard A Knaak. You will gain a shit load of lore information and they are awesome good books.
better than harry potter in my honest opinion. i have read almost all diablo books, sin war 1-3, the kingdom of shadow, the black road, legacy of blood, etc.
This is not the Sin War. The Sin War is the war of Three Brothers ( Diablo, Mephisto, and Ball ) against Azmodan and Belial.
Actually, if you ask me, the war of humanity against Three Brothers does not make sense at all. All Diablo and his brothers want is to find a week body to resurrect, and to go back to Hell for fighting against Azmodan and Belial, and getting back the leadership of the Hell.
So name the war against Paladin, Barbarian, ... against Three Brothers as : The Stupid War
Thanks for the correction. I'm afraid I'm more hot on WarCraft lore than Diablo, I always thought the Sin War was the demon's term for their battle for Sanctuary so I intended it as an open name for the vid.
Well, their eventual goal was to get Hell united again so they could take over Sanctuary and make it permanent territory by corrupting the Worldstone. I'm not sure what you can do for Diablo III since LoD ends with "reformatting the entire world" for the next difficulty of LoD.
the sin war is it not whe Hell and Heaven meet on the field and fights and some mortals joins it on the dark or light side ?. i jsut completet diablo 1, 2 days ago for fun

And here is my 2 cents
The "Sin War" is when the war between the "High Heavens" and "Burning Hells" spilling into Santuary ... for whatever reason.
When the 3 Brothers were banished and sealed into soulstones, that in my opinion counts as "spilling onto mortal soil".
The heroes are "powerful mortals" choosing to side with the "High Heavens". Thus the War between the 3 Brothers and the Heroes, is indeed A "Sin War".
