they did a superb job of stopping the world knowing this was happening, i'm from the uk and was following this from july last year, from july til dec there was very little in the news on this and the few reports given was a complete load of crap, i had to look to the internet and found a few good sources of info, florida oil spill law was one of them, it totally disgusted me how they handled the situation and it still does, would like to know the situation there as it is cause our media is shite

The oil spill woke me up. I'm not glad that it happened, but it really did take something to happen "in my own backyard" for me to figure it out.
