They deforrested 33 acres of trees and removed the whole top layer of top soil to build this travesty. It was a huge fight that the local community lost to the developers . Some of the crooked politicians etc...involved went to jail . It's their Karma that this whole thing went bust but it's the city of Long Branch that really lost it's last large tract of undeveloped land in the southern end of town.At one time the Audubon Society used to hold the annual bird count on this property how sad.
this is totally bizarre..i live in canada..i am in awe and bewilderment of the amount of abandoned places in the USA..what happened? I am not being saracastic when i ask this..i do find it sad yet fascinating..
@rhymeandreasoning Developers built the houses with a subprime loan, nobody wanted to buy them, and the builder went bust, leaving one house uunfinished.
This doesn't happen in the UK becuase of evil council tax, live in it or not you still have to pay. This is also why we don't see empty factories for very long, they just get demolished. Another reason not to be here.
This block is not selling b/c they started out asking for too much, and then they reconstructed the new bridge on Park Ave and water started to come towards the block!
What about all those mansions they started on the water side of 36 in Sea Bright where there used to be a beach bar / night club (cant recall the name but I wnet to an summer picnic there back in 1996) anyway did that project go bust too?
Wall Street's ill gotten gains coming home to roost, no sympathy from yours' truely.

I'd wager you could get it cheap. But there's probably back taxes on it.
Also, you'd be alone there. You don't want to be the only resident in a block of empty houses.
There's no shortage of houses for sale in Deal, Elberon, and Long Branch.

And there will never be anything wrong with that, you jackass.

I think it's called Red Oaks Drive, but I'm not sure. I remember the houses were off Highland Avenue or Norgrove Place.
