I would agree with that statement only if we as a human race don't learn from our mistakes. A larger challenge facing the human race isn't the errors of the past,but in bringing everyone on Earth to agree on a common set of goals toward conservation. With political, religious & economic strife conservation issues will always take 2nd fiddle.

The folks in my town just cut down all the beautiful old oak trees that lined our two main streets -- and replaced them with these horrific stadium bright light lamp posts and ornamental tree wimps. Nobody seems to care, but I cried for days. It looks horrible, all those healthy, mysterious, gentle giants are gone. PLEASE don't cut trees -- unless of course you must for some REAL reason.
