  • im running my electric guitar with the Pog2 through one of these with the ashdown mag 410 - 450W bass cabinet with 4 x 10" speakers so it can really handle the low end. iv had trouble really crankin it though, its halfway on the input on passive and almost on max on the output but still pretty quiet! can anyone give any suggestions? cheers

  • i got a Genz Benz shuttle 9.0 goin into Mag deep 4x10... decimates, $ per watt i had to get the Genz. ashdown could not compete on that end.

  • 麻原さん?ごめん

  • i use the mag series ashdown and that is fucking insane i cant wait to plug into one of these bad boys!!! I WILL ONLY PLAY ASHDOWN!!!

  • bought this exact amp since im a bassist in one of my 3 bands, yes 3 bands lol i love the tight bottom end and the bright piano string top end this amp brings. and its LOUD!!!! hahaha

  • Geez guys, stop rippin' on his english. This review is meant for the filipino market.

  • You REALLY need to work on your English! You talk in mixed language and cannot understand half of what you say!

  • dude i don't understand 4/5 of your words, lightning is also crapy, if you want to make better videos change that, cause you play quite well

  • that subharmonics knob is really neat. cool sounding amp. Tim Commerford uses this amp for his drive sound.

and yeah, make sure you use a microphone through a desk.

  • I am from Ashdown AR United States

  • @wrongserver

    I'm from Ashdown UK

  • @AttitudeCastle thats the only two places in the world called Ashdown :)

  • What's the point of reviewing a bass amp and recording the sound with the mic from a cheap video camera. The amp should be recorded through a decent microphone through a desk. Next time do it properly.......or not at all. Checkout bass whisperer on youtube to find out how it should be done.

  • because he don't have good mic and a desk and maybe he just want to say few words about this amp...whats wrong with this ?

  • @garethhjones i'm sorry but, even with the video camera mic it sounds pretty good, just compare other video's of thus user, so you can compare. By the way, there are not so many video's on youtube that have direct line in recordings on demo's

  • truly an amazing amp...i've got the ABM 500 EVO II, so unfortunately I don't have the compresser like the EVO III does. Still a fantastic amp.

  • The EVO II sounds better, they must of cheapened down the components so they don't overshadow the overpriced classic range.

  • were the evo II made in england?

  • It depends they moved production to China at some point in the evo II's life but there are made in England versions, just check the back. If it just says designed by Ashdown then you can be pretty sure it is post England. As long as you connect two 8ohm cabs to the head it will all be fine, or an 8ohm cab to the combo it would be fine. Just check the RMS watts match.

  • yes up until april 07.

  • also i see evo II 500s only got one speakon and one 1/4" connectors. are there any issues connecting 2 ABM cabs to the head or extension cab to the combo? was thinking of C210T combo + 115 compact ABM cabinet. now that you said evo II are better ill prolly ignore the missing compressor.

  • lol you're basing that opinion off a a youtube video? youtube audio is horrible and doesn't do ANY amp justice. So before you make another comment like that think about this.

  • My fave amp. I'll buy one as soon as I have the money. Is it still made in England, right?

  • Nope. They are made in China now, only the really expensive Classic series is English now.

  • no. china.

  • nice review
