i noticed this because after a while i took the sneaker out and it was the same exact color as the cardboard. so i thought about it and came up with a great idea to get the sole clear again without damaging it. first off i washed the sole with gain landry detergent and pat dryed it but left it just a lil bit moist and then spread bounty papers towels on the floor and put the sneaker on top of the paper towel to absorb the color. it really works its a dramatic diffrence in the shoe.

Hey bro i got a different strategy and a theory i use that works well. i thought i would share it with u. i have a pair of sixty plus and a pair of metallic 5's. the sixty plus i have had for a while and the metallic five i have had for a few months and worn only a few times but the 60+s have been in the box and i think why the shoe yellows so bad is because the brown cardboard inside the shoe box somehow seeps into the sole.

Whenever you do wear your Olympic 5's, clean the soles with a toothbrush and soap. Works too good! I've worn mine a few times, and they still look good!

cool vid bro, on my icey soles I throw em in zip lock bags (the 2 gallon ones), leave it slightly cracked (so it doesn't dry out), and throw it back in the box. I noticed that the paper the shoes come with does speed the process of them yellowing so I remove it also and save em elsewhere. So far this method has kept all of my kicks icey except my wolf grey 5s too, some reason they started yellowing a bit. Keep up the dope vids man.

i put my sneakers in a zip-loc bag, put them in a box and put it in a 2.5ftx 1.5ft plastic container with like 5 packs of silica gels and take them out every now and then. haha

I've worn my Metallic 5's a handful of times with no yellowing. I wipe down the bottom with shoe cleaner or hot water after each wear. My Wolf Grey's, on the other hand, look terrible on the bottom.

In my expirience with the new icey soles they're putting on the shoes they havent yellowed and i wear my jordans and just keep them in the box with the paper, the only color change i have noticed is if you wear your shoes alot the soles start to turn a kind of greyish color, kind of foggy color i guess, but my cool grey 11s havent yellowed at all but the sole is greyish, but hey i prefer that over yellow any day.

Also guys if you put your shoes in a zip lock hefty bag ( 2.5 gallon) push all the air out and put back in box with a moisture pouch, it will also stop yellowing, I have the 11 retro anniversary with no yellowing at all, and have been collecting for 15 yrs with ogs and retros (but dont put pouch in the plastic bag put in the box) Your shoes will stay in great condition for years
