"Yes!" you can make them your self. BUT you can not use just any sponge. It needs to be vary absorbent, very soft, a bit dense. Silken sponges, the natural kind sold at art supply stores work well, not the average sold for washing ones's body, Some are to ruff and would cause abrassions. A sponge can not get lost in side you, Though they take some getting used to. When they are full you feel it. At the end of your cycle they may be harder to reach, but you will be able too. Welcome & Peace
About the sea pearl: couldn't you just make them yourself? From the looks of it, it seems just like a regular sponge you could buy at a store. Also, I would prefer a string attached so they don't get lost!!! By the way, thank you for this video. It was something I had been thinking about for quite a while.
great video! i have been using a menstrual cup for several years, but the sponges look very good as well.

How long can sea sponges last?
starfaery 9 months ago
@starfaery .....they last 6 months to a year, depending on your personal flow and how you care for them.

@FaeIntuitiveClove You can put a sewing thread in the sponge, so it's easier to pull out. Just like a tampon.
