Thanks for your video HelpfulDad. We have the wooden set and I really like the solid feel of the train engines.
Re changing the battery I can't open the bottom of the engine. I loosen the screw as much as I can (it won't come off) and the bottom loosens but wont come off completely. Any suggestions?
PS I am using the Lady train, but guessing they all follow the same basic design.
@keepintouchwithann Hi, can you tell me the brand of the train? If its one of the diecast metal ones by Learning Curve, the screw should be on the bottom front, after you loosen it, you have to pull/jiggle up the diecast overlay from the frame by pulling straight up...
@TheHelpfuldad After pulling it up as far as I could with my fingers, I had to put a screwdriver into the opening and wedge it open. I was rather nervous I was going to break something, but if you have that one screw completely loose you should be fine.
This is a GREAT Engine - it's a MUST BUY and it will be the WORK HORSE of your wooden train sets. Durable and strong, it's only negative is the battery life (like most battery powered trains) so get rechargable batteries!
