In LA not so sure but i am certain that if you visit Ali Akbar College of Music theres locations in Berkeley and San Rafael. You should check their website out.
please let me know if you have any luck. I'm trying to find a sarangi instructor myself. I would be happy just finding somebody that plays sarangi at this point..
@parsonslife1 Have you checked out world music guru - if you google that you will come up with the website, there is a gentleman who teaches Sarangi, there are a few others who teach dilruba and Esraj
does anyone have an opinion about the Jogia Sarangi?

I have couple of questions:
1) What kind of chalk do you apply for the pegs to stick?
2) How important is it to apply talcum powder to your fingers? Does it really make a difference in tone?
3) What kind of string gauges are there? I was able to find only 3 different gauges in stores in India
Thanks much,
Adarsh

Does anyone know if there are any Sarangi or Esraj instructors in Los Angeles? I have looked but found none. Would appreciate any info.
