And what else makes season 9 so different from the others is J.D. is gone, the janitor is gone, Ted is gone, the nurse that looked like Lavern(Lavern) is gone, Carla is gone, and not to mention the other characters that made the show so funny (IE: Snoop dog attending, the overly touchy orderly..) But I wouldn't say season 9 was crappy, just different.

I don't understand why a lot of people don't like the new season. It's not bad to me, in fact I enjoy it as much as the old seasons. I guess people don't like change, or are to used to the old characters that this doesn't feel the same for them. It's not as good as the old, but it's still good.

After watching six episodes of the 9th series: absolutely uninteresting, especially how the new characters are clearly meant either to substitute or resemble the old cast. Cole is utterly untolerable, Lucy is intended to replace JD, Drew and his girl are weak doubles of Dr Cox. And this way it re-he-he-he-ly doesn't work. For me, before anyone takes offence.
