I can't believe everyone is bitching about Ion Dissonance in here. This band rules. This album makes every breakdown-heavy release after it irrelevant. There are very small traces of melody here and there, but I don't get how you can complain about a lack of something in a band that clearly isn't going for that. The songs from this period are incredibly well written, they're just not the style you are used to. Open up your horizons, people. Quit whining.

It was clearly taped on an inexpensive recording device of some kind, and half stacks, and a drum kit are obviously not going to sound good.
