Co do kwestii zabijania smoków przez Geralta, która niektórych tak oburza. Geralt wg swojego kodeksu nie zabijał istot inteligentnych, takich które były świadome i świadomie mogły zabijać bądź przestać to robić. Dlatego nie zabił dopplerów, dlatego tez nie zabił złotego smoka. Jednak nie jest taki święty. Na prośbę Yennefer chciał stanąć do walki z Villentretenmerthem, jednak ostatecznie do walki nie doszło. Po za tym ludzi też podobno nie zabijał...
