  • I have to say that the guy i'm dating is real chunky but i'd never put the blame on him if I had the problem of gaining weight. I'm very petite but i'd at least try to help my boyfriend out by suggesting some healthier foods to him instead of leaving him out to dry by himself. A couple is suppost to do things together and enjoy eachothers company so why not diet or train together to make a healthier relationship last and it tends to bring people closer also on an emotional level.

  • Waow. Thanx, i think i'll read this book soon.

My bf is really junky but still skinny!!!! :(

And i can't eat like he does. Haha.

  • hahaha my friend who is a girl said buht fs no big fat boyfriends no big fat cocks xD

  • GAYGAYGAYGAYGAY FUCKING GAY WHALES TRYING TO FUCK APES !

  • @myentourage The book has nothing to do with blaming things on men. I'm not quite sure how you came to that conclusion.Tips:

    1. If she complains about the chocolates don't buy them.

    2. NEVER tell a woman she needs to work out more. (Insensitive and unhelpful. Perhaps suggest some actives you can do together, ex. run in the park)

    3. You can buy her flowers or something other than food.

    4. Take her to a restaurant with healthier options.

There is such a thing as comprise. Your comments amaze me.

  • you're prettttttttyyyy

  • I love my big fat boyfriend exactly the way he is, but I know how his bad habits can be contagious. Really ladies, if you maintain your own good ones despite his non-intentional influence... I don't see why your weight would be affected. But this book seems to have alot of useful tips to offer. I'd be open to reading it.

  • YOOOOOOOOO IM FAT! I ADMIT IT!.......FUK. I NEED TO LOOSE SOME POUNDS

  • Well if that's true then why are most of the fat girls single?! Sorry couldn't resist xD

  • WHAT ABOUT MY BIG FAT GIRLFRIEND? ... Nah, she's not fat. I'd be single if I said that to her face.

  • wait let me see if I understand this book. this book is all about complaining, that once you get a boyfriend your eating habits change because your boyfriend can eat more and picks places to eat that arent healthy and you eat out more and you get too comfortable b/c you now have a boyfriend? So this book really isnt about the boyfriend its really about the women getting fat.

Could you imagine if a book was called "My big fat Girlfriend" It would be attacked by womens groups.

  • Why do men get blamed for everything? If you gain weight because your eating out more often or eat like your boyfriend then its not his fault its your fault fatty. Blame yourself, control how much you eat. Just b/c more food is there doesnt mean you have to eat it all. And if you want to change how or what you eat then cook healthier foods rather then going out to eat!

  • Women are never happy. If we buy you chocolates, then you blame us for you gaining weight. If we tell you to work out more then we are wrong. If we dont buy you anything then u get mad. If we go out to eat you complain its unhealthy and your gaining weight. If we stay home you complain we never go out. Women have no idea what they want or what makes them happy. It amazes me

  • Did you read the book? My guess would be no. So instead of going on and on about women blaming everything on men, maybe you should get the facts straight. the author is trying to make women aware of the fact that women are not built the same way as men. she is not on a man hunt.

  • @myentourage Listening and talking makes them happy.

  • @myentourage I personally think 'bollocks to the whole diet industry', with regard to worrying about eating with friends/boyfriends etc. I'm in recovery from an eating disorder, and I've learnt the hard way that the Western world's obsession with fad diets and 'letting go' (i.e. eating out) and yo-yoing from disciplined diets to overeating and back again, and the amount of self-criticism for not eating meals under certain cals etc*

  • @myentourage *is quite pathetic. What I have done since my eating disorder is just try to eat balanced meals and I don't need to beat myself up for occasionally eating more calories in meals out etc. In fact, I do eat out or perhaps have a snack whenever I fancy it (no more than a few times a week) without guilt. I exercise a lot though, so that might do the work (and btw I'm not a necessarily skinny figure by nature).

  • (I'm a girl) This is some odd stuff. I lost a lot of weight since I'm in a relationship! Happiness made me forget food. Well, I was already quite thin... now I'm underweight.

  • It's true, we are unhealthy eaters.

We like to fry our foods, eat junk, eat a lot of meat, and fast food, lol.

And girls can't eat as MUCH as guys can because they have SMALL appetites, metabolsim has nothing to do with gender.

  • omg, that's so true...when i moved in with my boyfriend, i gained 20pounds. then he proposed to me and i LOST 50 pounds (partly because i wanted a nice, tiny wedding gown)....it's so weird that relationship stuff affects your weight so much ^^

  • @lis0xtc no it doesnt eat and working out affects your weight and gravity has a big part in it too.

  • @pooponhoop lol, dumb ass :-p

  • @pooponhoop lol, dumb ass :-p

  • you calling me fat???

  • OMG! The 1st time I got serious with a BFBI gained ~25lbs and the loser dumped me! He said "You've let yourself go." So I lost the weight and more and met the love of my life. We got engaged and I put on weight again. I had to change my wedding dress one month b4 the wedding! It wasn't bad yet, but now I'm 50lbs over from when he proposed. He tells me I'm still sexy, but I don't really feel it anymore. I would love a copy of that book to help so I can feel like the woman he got engaged to again!

  • i was wondering the same thing..?

  • i got a boyfriend and yea....BIG MISTAKE.!!...no just kidding he's the best but its soo TRUE.! when i got with him it was movies, dinner, mc donalds i think all the local fast food places know us by name. but yea i stopped watching my figure and so did he. i grew five inches and miraculously he lost freakin 5lbs. i got a wake up call when we took pictures for our first year anniversary and i was looking plumped as ever. but thanks to you guys i got back to my old self. thanks for the inspiration

  • We need a book for husbands too, I didn't get fatter until i married him! an extra 45lbe in 5 years.

  • My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 5 yr. now-- He can eat whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and not gain a single pound! The problem with dating and being around someone for that long period of time is you start to join in on that fun (insert sarcasm) hahah! Lets just say God did not bless me with a metabolism like his, so now I am trying to lose this extra weight & get back in shape! I would absolutely love a copy of that book, it would surely be put to good use! :)

  • Your comment is great! You deserve to win a copy of the book. :)

  • when i frist started dating my boyfriend i was 5ft tall and waight 120 as the years go bye i start gaining weight and then BOOM!!! im pregnant after giveing birth to my beautiful baby girl i realize that i am now 165 lbs!!!!

  • My boyfriend always wants chicken wings, pizza, all that fattening stuff. He hates fruits and vegtables. He always wants to order a pizza which makes me eat it too, so I never get to eat anything healthy when I'm around him. He's fit and muscular from working out but he doesnt like the healthy stuff. And I hate eating pizza and stuff like that everyday, and we plan to get married, so I hope I can stay thin and fit!

  • When I started going out with my boyfriend he was always buy me a block of chocolate because 'he liked buying me presents,' still after I complain to him about how untoned my thighs and stomach are!! Silly boy. He also loves to have desserts after meals, so likes to buy icecreams for both of us OR buys a tub of expensive icecream for both of us, aarghh!! He just tells me to exercise more and I'll feel better - im sorry, it doesnt work that way for me lol.

  • What about gaining weight because of the g/f??

  • Obviously you don't have a boyfriend ;-) Good for your shape!

  • hi. i dont have a boyfriend but i want that book :(

  • My man always like to eat out and if i ate aready he gets mad and wants me to eat again so it so hard for me I am 20 pounds more because of it . Its so hard with him not to eat when he buys me everthing out there.

  • i am the big fat boyfriend! my girlfriend always tells me to cutdown and she says that from hanging out with me to much shes gaining pounds! If i get this book i would give it to my girlfriend and we should share it both to cut down

    thanks :)

  • i date my ex boyfriend for like a year and i gain 40 lbs so i didnt feel confortable with that, we broke up and i'm sure i need that book for my next relationship lol

  • Youre so cool i want to have this book then i can throw it out of the window and hit grannys with it

  • lol I support you all but I don't date yet :]

  • Ummm I love to eat SNATCH. Now give me the book so I can use it to role up my tobacco.

  • When I first started dating MY BIG FAT BOYFRIEND I gained 50 LBS yes you read that right . 50. And I spent the past year and a half trying to loose all this weight! I really hope we don't break up any time soon!

  • I can completely and fully sympathize with this video. I too have "the big fat boyfriend". Although I wouldn't say he was fat. He keeps in shape playing soccer and is active with his friends. Being an athlete and young male is probably one of the reasons he is constantly chowing down! Being around him has changed my eating habits. I've gained weight :O! I try to suggest fun activities that we could do together to keep fit, but there's still more I wish I could do. Help out if you still can!

  • How can i get you to date me? =D

  • After four years, I think my boyfriend and I finally have it right. The first time we moved in together, we both gained a ton of weight. I love to cook and we would end up just eating and laying around. Back in November, we got a gym membership together and now we work out together almost daily! So proud of how far we have come! Plus, he is going to person trainer's school in July. Now, I need to keep up with him!

  • I think this sounds like a silly book. "How to eat healthy when he insist of going to a drive through"

Talk to eachother, run, go to the gym, cook together. And have more sex!

Then you will be much moore happy then if you ignore your partners unhealthy lifestyle. Make a change together.

  • I just ate pizza at 1:30 am while I was watching this. You fat heffers can't do that. :D

  • just wanted to say THANK YOU for this video!! :D i'm so going to go out and buy that book :]

  • a year ago my boyfriend and I went to Coney Island and he wanted to go on the Cyclone, Im afraid of rollercoasters so I passed. Well he gets onto the rollercoaster and the bar wouldnt close, so the guy running the ride says" YOU GOTTA GET OUT!" and my bf goes why, and the guy goes " YOUR TOO GOD DAMN FAT THE BAR WONT CLOSE BOY GET OFF MY RIDE!!!" he was so embarrassed he couldn't fit on the ride and I was embarrassed for him as well!

  • When I started dating my boyfriend I was a healthy 130 lbs. Then about a year ago we moved in together and so far Ive gained about 20 something pounds. All we eat is disgusting frozen meals, chicken nuggets, and we eat out a lot. I try to buy healthier foods but this happens about once every few mounts and he decides it's time to buy more frozen meals. I couldn't put my finger on how I gained so much weight until I saw this video and it just snapped into my head. Darn big fat boyfriend!

  • ReTweet "Your Big Fat Boyfriend" @DietHealth

Wait... this is not Tweeter! So... how do I tweet here?! hehehe just kidding! You wanted creativity right?! ;P

  • when going into a relationship i found that b/c my boyfriend is naturaly slim and doesn't have any problems in that department... i found when i began to date my boyfriend we went out alot to the movies and din din and that for me was a total bummer with weight gane but i also lost my dad around the time we started dating so that was a huge part as well...... thanks ladies for your awsome ness and you rock my flippin socks off

    im out

    bye for now

    AK

  • I've been dating my boyfriend for 4 years and during the first 2 i actually GAINED 25 lbs.!!! I know!! He comes from a family that eats out almost every day and has lavish (unhealthy) meals when at home. I was able to lose most of what I gained this past year but it's still really tough with his eating habits. I tried to have him adopt my eating habits but it never worked. I love him but maybe having this book will help me, and even him!! Thank you.

  • It does happen , People get confortable in their relationship and they gain weight. Its not just women men also go through this. Both my boyfriend and I gained weight over the years of our relationship but the real problem is that when we decided we needed to lose weight he lost it so much faster (he was also super dedicated)...

  • My boyfriend and I have been dating for nearly a year. While he has always been very thin, naturally, I have (before I even met him) always been overweight. I have never stopped wanting to lose weight, regardless of how comfortable the relationship has become. He loves me just the way I am, but I weigh more than him, and when we started dating it was a strain for him to lift me. I've always felt that I wasn't dainty or delicate enough to be with him, and recently I gained even more weight. Help!

  • I am the BIG FAT BOYFRIEND, well husband that is. I would love to get this book to help my wife. She tries very hard to look her best and drop the pounds, I think I may not be helping with the way I love to eat. This book may help us both. PS. love the shows, great job

  • My boyfriend is skinny and he can eat sooooo much and still be skinny!! Since i been with him i have been eating like him... so alot of take aways, drive thrus.. just everything and i cant not eat because watching him eat in front of me makes me wanna eat...even if im not that hungry. My mum told me that I need to be careful because he will never put on weight but i am and its ridiculous...i hate it and wish i could be like him :(

  • My sister lives with her boyfriend, and he has stopped being on Weight Watchers and has stopped working out. This makes it harder for her to train for the triathalon that she wants to participate in, so I think that she would really appreciate this book, because he is keeping her from fulfilling her goal and she wants to focus more on herself, instead of listening to her bf whine about how large he has become. :)

    Thank you!! :)

  • Oh, I thought you were Sarah Dussault, not Sarah Yourhost. :P

  • just imagine eating plastic your body doesnt recognise it as nurtition well thats exactly like many chemicals in the processed food you eat, you're eating plastic basically there is no nutrients just fat and maybe a little protein you must eat food that contains vitamins and minerals, sorry but i also must say i hate you and i wish somebody hit you with a hockey stick

  • i'll agree with this guy. and that makes it sound like the only reason some girls are unfit is because of their BF which isn't at all true. Either way just good god. why aren't there any books on a fat GF since that happens too...

  • Comment removed

  • I want to be your boyfriend and I am fit.

  • *ahem*.... umm...

am i the only one that still wants the book even though i don't have a boyfriend?

  • I need that book my man is big too ..

  • ++++++++++++++++++++

Its TRUE! My last boyfriend got me on a horrible diet and I am still recovering from it! I am following your exercise videos and your awesome recipes! Id LOOOVE to win that book! Thanks Sarah!

    +++++++++++++++++++++

  • I have been with my bf for over a year now and when we first started dating I was satisfied with my weight and size. Before he would drive me home he would take me to get takeout before he dropped me off. A few months later we moved in together and it's at the point where I even got stretch marks and am not satisfied with my body. My bf lifts weights and eats lots. As for myself I just go to school and come stay home. HELP!

  • I've been dating my fiance for about 3 years. He has gained almost 35 pounds from being with me because like to cook...and he obviously likes to eat =], while I have only gained 3...because what I don't eat, I give to him haha. However; I'm getting ready to make the step and move in so this book would be helpful to me, and maybe to him. We need to get rid of his innertube so he can finally have a chance at drowning in the pool instead of flopping around like duck :D

  • How about big fat brother?!?! my brothers are awful eaters and it pains me to see them eat their lives away, literally. i would love this book so i could show them that just because you eat out doesn't mean you have to eat a bunch of unhealthy food. They eat out about five times a week nowadays because of their job. :\

    thanks for your time.

    Love always,

    ShyAngel14

  • When my bf and I first started dating in 2006, I weight around 115 pounds. We moved in together shortly after, and to this date I have gained over 15 pounds. I used to exercise and eat smalls meals each day, but my bf is a big guy and cannot "just eat a salad" for dinner like I can. I found myself sacrificing my waistline to be able to eat with him. Not anymore! I've began exercising and cooking healthier, smaller meals. If he wants an unhealthly dinner, he can make it himself.

  • I so NEED this book, I have gained 100 pounds since dateing David. He has always had an unhealthy life style and it is REALLY hard to cook for both him and I because what I like and is healthy he doesn't. HELP! We have been together for 7 years now and it has be a struggle the whole time. I don't like junk food being in the house but he still brings it in, what do I do?

  • my boyfriend always buys me chocolates and i have to eat them in front of him! dont get me wrong, i love chocolate but just not all the time! :)

  • Comment removed

  • When I was dating my ex-bf, I was actually starting a diet. Well, like most 19 year olds, he snarfs any junk lying around. So whenever he suggested we go out for pizza, which is basically diet suicide, I would lure him into a makeout session. Guys love food, but obviously not as much as getting action, no?

  • Tryu to beat my BFB. Everyday i come home, he has cleaned the house. He has a 8-14 work so he gets home early. He usely cleans up and shops. Sometimes he also does the laundry! Usely not tho. But he is so lazy when i am home. I mean, this is the dream, but i have gained ALOT of weight because of this. I really need some tips on how to live healthier together with him. He just burns off the calories, i dont!

    Greetings from

    Norway! :)

  • I have a BIG FAT BOYFRIEND!!!!I need that book sooo bad!!! Pick me! Pick me!

My boyfriend is a diet disaster! He is in great shape but he eats a gazillion calories a day! How can I stay in shape while still going out on dates???

  • I am currently SINGLE. But don't stop reading! I started a relationship with a great guy who had a passion for food, and lots of it. He lured me into full course meals and fast food several times per week. We spent so much time together that I neglected my exercise too! Needless to say, I went from 150lbs to 170lbs in 5 months. It's over now because of how I was feeling about my newfound lifestyle! I shouldn't have to sacrifice my waistline just for a boyfriend, should I?

  • What if you have a big fat girlfriend? :D

  • haha :P

  • I've just gotten into a relationship and love my boyfriend to death. Because we've been dating and being busy, I have had no control over the foods I eat. There's always a "special occasion" to eat outside. I've gained about 15 pounds and i'm trying to lose it and get healthier but am not sure what to do. P.s. I love these videos! I watch them before I go out for a run, and it motivates me even more! :) Thanks for the videos, you're great!

  • Omg I just realized this, I'm single and only one without a boyfriend in our group, all my friends have gained weight while I'm still skinny. So that is definitely the reason.

  • My bf is definitely a mamas boy. We all work 2gether at a grocery store and I swear she buys food (mostly junk) evryday! Everytime we come over to his house she stuffs us with food! I guess he got it from his mom b/c everytime we eat he is feeding me and putting bits of food in my mouth. Weve been 2gether for 7 months and I gained 25 lbs and as much as he eats he lost 20 lbs! his mom even told me that I need to start feeding him better because he is getting 2 skinny! how will i ever lose weight?

  • My boyfriend and I have known each other for more than 10 years but began dating for 2 years. I've been at that comfortable stage with him for so long, when it comes to eating. Don't get me wrong, he always tries to influence me to eat a little more healthier but i always rebel and eat junk food. We have both just recently signed up for a gym memebership! His goal is to build more muscle and my goal is to be more toned and lean. But there are times where we both splurge a wee bit too much.

  • My boyfriend is such a bad influence on my eating habits. I can go through the day eating healthy with at least 20 minutes of excercise - feeling so great yet when I hang out with him I always end up eating junk food. It's so delicious though but it always upsets me when I get home because I remember how well I was doing earlier in the day.

  • I was just a few pounds short of my goal weight when I first started dating my boyfriend three years ago. He insisted on feeding me lasagna and pizza and other things with cheese piled on top. I gained about 25 pounds within a year! I finally had to draw the line and we started cooking at home...he still adds a massive amount of cheese to his plate of food, but I get to eat the still tasty yet less caloric and fattening version.

  • They need to make the book "My big fat girlfriend." All they do is eat!!

  • My big fat boy friend eats burgers while I eat tofu salads. Snaks on low fat ice cream while eat lite pop corn. Drinks diet coke while I sip on water. I count calories and he count sports scores. I weight myself every day, him once a month. But in it all we both workout out together and I still have 30 more pounds to lose next to his 20. Men suck :(

  • WoW!! Haha GREATT BOOK! That sounds like me and my BIG FAT Boyfriend! My bf and I have been dating for four years June 6th. He eats like a maniac and hates eating alone. Since weve been dating I gained 40lbs I went from a size 4 to a size 12. Every time we go out to eat I say to myself Salad, Just get the chicken salad, dammit! but he somehow manages to persuade me that salad is just a starter and why just have a salad when there is the chicken and ribs combo and a slice of cake for desert!!

  • Married to my husband for yr 5 tomorrow (June4). He is military and I watch him go from 36 to 40 often. You would think that being military that they would be in the best of shape but thats far from the truth. I get so stressed when he has to weigh in. He has a weakness for greasy burgers and fast foods as lunch. He claims he doesn't have time for breakfast and drinks coffee and eat any sweet junk at the office. I tell him to pack breakfast and lunch but its short lived. Find me @JuanitaEvans

  • I have been with my husband for 8 years now, been married one year. When we first got together he was muscular and size 34 waist. Slowly over the years he gained alot of weight. He's a big guy, 6ft 2 , pants size 42 waist and 267lbs. The thing that upsets me is that he knows how to work out and eat corectly, but he is the one that let himself go. I wish he would start taking care of himself and take the time to get back to the way he used to look like, when I first fell in love with him.

  • haha I moved in with my boyfriend at least 2 years ago June 27 (2 days after my birthday) after I lost weight, but I actually gained wait afterwords. My boyfriend is 5'7" and he's 140Lbs.I'm 5;0" and 150. I was like "how is that fair?!?" lol. He eats fast food constantly. his own mother hates his fast metabolism :-P

  • My BFB is literally a BIG FAT BOYFRIEND. He weighs close to 240 lbs and it's not the good muscle kind. We moved in together last october and since then I have gained 20 lbs, not good considering I've always been a pretty petite. NOT ANYMORE! I've been hitting the gym but something's just not clicking... Wait yes it is-- my knees on the treadmill. I need help cuz I need to get this weight off. UGH!!!

  • Cool contest Sarah and diethealth thanks!

  • I am so jealous of m BFB! Well not really because he eats anything and everything without ever gaining a pound. He encourages me to be free with what i eat but our metabolism rates are just not the same. I hope this book can really help me out. Love you guys btw.

  • I never was in a relationship before because I am really self-conscious of myself. I have been loosing weight slowly but haven't stuck to it completely. So once I get into a relationship maybe this book might help me :)

  • Oh where has this book been?! I've been with my bf for 6 yrs now n I have gained so much weight! Living w/my parents was great my mom cooked healthy stuff all the time n when my bf n I moved in ..oh boy did I gain weight! I don't cook much n well he loves to eat huge meals n slowly I climbed to a weight that I'm not even going to key-in! yikes! He managed to change my eating habits w/ the "Its only 2 small cookies" or "Its still early u can still have a cheeseburger" HELP ME I can use this book!

  • What an awesome book, it could have been by me :) I've always been super thin, my entire life, since I've always been active as well as healthy concerning food and stuff. Well, I'm still uber active and healthy, but my former body just kinda waved goodbye. Once I met him, my glowing love, I've probably done the worst thing in my young life - I've started taking oral preservatives, wohoo. The killer. Absolutely. Hello size 8 (Don't say anything, I was a tight 4).

At least my boobs got bigger..

  • I weighed 170lbs when i got married and ballooned up to 220lbs after just 3 years of marriage. I have now lost 60+ lbs and am still working toward another 30. I wish I had this book before I got married. (But would still love to have it now)

  • I've dieting and I've lost 30lbs but now its trying to keep it off and I've got a lot of advice from your video's but my husband won't eat healthy with me, he loves junk food and fast food. I get depressed when he wants to go out to eat cause I'm scared what to order, I worked really hard on loosing the weight and I would hate to gain it back. I'd love the book to help me keep it off. Please pick me!

  • He doesn't liek to move -.-, thinks doesn't matter what i eat i look fine. But i don't think i look fine and he hates salad and other healthy stuff! Hard to lose weight when the person your with eats like a mcdonalds franchise!

  • oh darn, i dont have a bf.

  • I was a former fattie, i went from 145 to 118, went through the pressure and all to be skinny, i got skinny, and a few months back i realized that i should be making myself happy and for nobody else, i know am starting to go to the gym, 5-6 days a week, trying to gain in a healthy way for muscle and am truely happy! And yes if i win this book that sarah is giving out it would help me alot more!

  • If I had this book I possibly would've kept my past relationships, why do we let ourselves get so comfortable?

  • lol great video .i totally gained in the beginning of my relationship with my bf . but a couple years back he as working at mcdonalds so it ws really hard to not eat the fries now its been 5 years and im still bigger than wen i was in high school but hey this year thanks to the your videos i lost the lbs from watching your videos . i lost 20 lbs !!!!!!!!!! amazing i went from 140 to 120 !!! xD

  • after meeting my bf i gained weight becuase of all the restaurants we went to when we were hungry, board, ans his the type of guy that can eat, eat and eat and nothing shows on him, i need a healthy plan maybe we can do it together...

  • How about the loving boyfriend who cooks high calorie foods for you like lasagna, or steak? It's impossible not to eat it!!

  • Wow - I have my work cut out for me! Thanks everyone for writing comments on the video - I have a ton to choose from and we are going to be adding an additional 2 more books because we can't just choose 5 from here! :)

  • my boyfriend is skinny but eats a ton. Obviously I can't get away with doing the same thing.

  • my b/f is always buying candy and juice which is always in the apartment which makes it really hard to avoid them so the book will help

  • OK, I gotta tell you about my bf. My boyfriend is a 'former' fattie. All throughout high school he was overweight and it really hurt his confidence, He's now a complete HUNK tho.

He became a gym rat and is very very built. HOWEVER he is totally destroying me, he constantly shoves HIGH CALORIE protein shakes, bars, and meats in my face. I'm not trying to become Arnold Swartz bud! I think hes great, but what works for him just makes me FAT :(

If I win the book, Im hiding it from him ASAP :D

  • Ah! I need that book! Not only am I retuning from Spain (in 3 weeks) I'm moving in with my boyfriend. I've gained so much in Spain from eating all the delicious foods, I need some help, and I know I won't get it from my non-active bf. I'm going to need a lifestyle change, as if returning from Spain and living with a male isn't change enough! At least I'm running everyday.

  • I eat about 1500 calories a day.

He eats about 2500 calories a day.

I told him that if he ate 1000 more calories in a day he'd gain a pound because there's 3500 calories in a pound of fat.

My boyfriend refused to believe me...even after I showed him my text book that said that same fact......

    He's not fat....YET

He's a fattie in denial....but good god I love him just not what he eats.

  • i admit that getting a gf/bf does make you fatter! When I was single, I was exercising hardcore a week, and now it's been cut down to only 2!!! I guess you just stop trying as hard!

  • When I started going out with my husband, I literally gained 10 kg because I was raised to eat everything on my plate. My mother-in-law used to cook 5 course meals and I used to be going to their house everyday. Once married, I just pointed out to her I could only take one plate of food and the rest I would take home and eat the next day. My husband has a great metabolism and is a "vegetarian who doesn't eat vegetables" just carbs. I have to train hard and not get tempted by his sinful ways.

  • My BF & I have been in a LD relationship for 4 yrs, during which my weight has gone up & dwn. He was away for 65 days training @ drill sergeant school, during which I worked out, watched what I ate, & lost 10 lbs. I flew cross country to grad & spent a month with him. Unfortunatley, after all that hard work I ended coming home with an extra 5 lbs :-( We're getting married soon and I'm so afraid being with him full time is going to MAKE ME FAT!

  • I left a gf once because she went from having a hot body to a fat body and refused to workout with me cause she said I should love her for her not for her body. Sorry but when I don't get hard the sex becomes an issue to I kicked her to the curb. Years later she is even fatter and I've packed 40lbs of muscles. Her loss.

  • Being an exercise science major, I'm totally into trying to eat healthy, my boyfriend on the other hand, while he is active he isn't the healthiest eater in the world, and he definitely challenges me in making good choices! My metabolism just cannot match up to his. One time, there was one (pretty sizable) brownie left and he refused to talk to me until i ate it. (jokingly but still!) not to mention similar taunts about finishing my Rita's cookies and cream ice. Relationship diet whoa is me.

  • I could have used that book with my last boyfriend, lol. We were mutually destructive, falling into worse and worse food habits. Neither of us were exercising regularly, and we were consuming way, way too much food per day. By the end of the relationship both of us were overweight, which contributed to our unhappiness and the demise of the relationship. Happy to say now I have reached a normal weight (lost the weight and then some) and have a new boyfriend - who is not a diet disaster!

  • Ever since I started living with my boyfriend I gained about 35 pounds! He eats really bad, everything like frozen pizza, potato skins, brownies. He will only cook meatballs and pasta, other times he just wants to go out. I wish I knew how to help him and myself!

  • Leave him maybe?

  • My boyfriend is an AWFUL eater. He's all about frozen pizza and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. When I started dating him I was incredibly overweight. However, something about the relationship brought out the best in me and I actually was motivated to LOSE weight. I started cooking separate meals and making smart choices... sitting on the couch eating a salad while he ate pizza. I've since lose 60 pounds. I always kid with him "You took a chance on a chubby girl and ended up with a hot girlfriend!"

  • I recentl moved in with my boyfriend, and notice im not as toned as i used to be, he's a pilot so he must work, come home then we scramble for the bus no time to cook we such usually grab soemting on the way unfortunetly its either burger king or mcdonalds if im lucky subway. But i dont think i should be losing my muscle mass this quickly i naturaly have a fats metabulism and i walk 4km a day to work and back plus i jog at night i shouldnt be losing anything, my diet isnt poor on weekends!

  • This describes me so much!!!! My boyfriend and I lived together his last year in college. He always wanted pizza for dinner and loved getting Chinese food. I definitely gained weight. Then we lived apart while I finished school for a year and I came right back down! I loved making healthy meals for myself. Now we're living together again (about a month) and I have a constant food baby! He gets in a rut so easily with dinners. I want to try new things (like falafel yum!) and he isn't up for it :(

  • I did not gain any weight when I first started dating my boyfriend. I started gaining about a year after. I was doing so well trying not to eat like him in the beginning.. but I think I gave up? Sad thing is I didn't even realize it. I just woke up one day and realized I've somehow taken on all his exact eating habits! =(

  • Friends used to tease me about my ex bf. Due to inactivity and an unhealthy fast food diet, he gained so much weight in our relationship. Friends jokingly would tease us and say that he looked like he pregnant and having my baby and also that if we ever broke up he would probably make me pay child support .! Lol

  • My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. It's been going absolutely wonderfully for three years now, but every time I'm up at his house, I usually gain 2-8 pounds!!!! The last trip wasn't so bad, but I need more advice than I'm alrady trying. I know what I'm doing wrong, but not how to avoid them when I'm with him. That looks like a cute book.

  • I seem to gain weight everytime I start a new relationship. It seems that when its new and exciting, you tend to have alot of sex, thus u get hungry, u spend weekends in bed, eat sleep sex. When the magic has worn off, and u go back to your old routine....its 20-30 lbs later.

  • What about a big fat husband?????????? He tries to be good all week then eats all the calories he missed out and some more on the weekends.

  • I moved in with my man a year ago. I gained 25lbs. Even at the grocery store my redneck buys nothing but non nutritional stuff. Yet....the man is skinny!! Why God? WHY! I buy fruits veggies etc. But I then give into the temp of his delicious crap that does nothing for me but satisfy my, not even craving...my need to not want to sit and cook! I need help, and I am not happy being chubby! I go to the gym 2-3 a week. HELP!

  • I have a brother that'll eat half or more of the brownie tray in a single day, and he's really skinny! The trick is, eat the food because you like the way it tastes, not to feel full. If your man wants hamburgers for the fifth night in a row and you don't want hamburgers, just skip dinner or go with the salad. : )

  • talk to him about it.

  • The difference between you two is metabolism, and possibly what kind of (active vs sedentary) lifestyle you both live.

You may actually be a lot more healthier than he is (when you only eat nutritious food). But, if you don't exercise, you won't lose those extra pounds that you have. Try sticking to a healthy diet and excercising!

  • my (husband) xD is not big or fat but he eats like he is, and I am a health nut, i exercise every day, and try & eat right, but when he wants taco bell & cheetos, well he certainly gets them, but I have done my part to try & make a comfy middle ground, instead of pizza hut, we'll make homemade veggie or chicken pizza, instead of ice cream we'll buy sherbert, instead of chips we eat nuts, it's been some time in the making xD but he would be so obese by now if it werent for me xD lolz <3

  • my big fat boyfriend tricked me into thinking I have a nice body by constantly telling me he loves my body while everybody else around me was calling me fat (for my belly). and since we moved in together, no more mama's healthy homemade food for me...all we eat is fast food =/ not to mention the fact that i've given up working out to spend more time with him because the fat ass just won't go to the gym with me and if i go by myself we'll barely get to see each other.

  • You know, you need to have relationships that are compatible all around. If you don't like the food you eat with him or the activities you do with him or the amount of time you spend with him, you need to change it, because it doesn't look like he will on his own.

And if he won't respond to your changes, maybe you're at a point where the relationship won't go any further.. maybe it's time to move on?

  • Wow the title is big fat boyfriend? How insulting, you don't see MEN using titles like how to stay good looking with super ugly girlfriends. Honestly, women are fucking hypocrites. They complain about men not being sensitive to their needs but look at the shit they pull off on us. I fucking thank my lucky stars not all women are like this, but for those that are simply need to fuck off!!

  • Lol I think you need to calm down a bit.. its just a study. Geez ....and people women are more emotional lol.

  • Doesn't mean that women can walk all over our emotions just because it's harder for us to feel hurt. I don't care about the study, I'm pissed off at the title, it's insulting.

  • they don't mean literally YOUR BIG FAT BOYFRIEND. it's kindan like a methaphore.

  • bestdancerslist: My boyfriend isn't fat, he looks like the guy on the cover. He's very thin but is eating habits are horrible. He eats like a "big fat boyfriend".

  • My Boyfriend is hefty and hes Salvy & im not. & since we started dating im sure i gained a good 20 pounds. now its So hard to pass up the amazing food his mom makes! i love everything that's sitting on their stove! Rice, Chicken, Meat, Fried banana's; if i went on im sure id just gain the weight by thinking about it! Id love this book to keep me from eating the bad things and know how to eat. i love him & i don't want anything to take him from me. especially something as stupid as being obese.

  • My partner of 8 years used to be fit, then he got his license & started hitting up the drivethru's everyday and has gained 40kg.. In 8yrs I've had 2 children.. I'd gained 16kg then lost it with each pregnancy but I've now lost 35kg. I'm now thinner than I was in school. My partner is not supportive & will sabotage me whenever he can.. You just have to stay strong and remember who you're doing it for... YOURSELF... If I can't take care of myself then I can't take care of my kids.

  • Two words: Taco Bell

  • Hm well, my boyfriend is more in shape than I am and I was bigger than him when we first met. Then when he moved away a year ago. Everytime we would have the chance to see each other again, Id get into shape. Unfortunately, for me we always ate out somewhere and I would eat more than I was at home without him & the worst part is, we ate really late at night. For my boyfriend as hard as it his for him to admit it but he did get a little chubs, with a belly now haha :]

    Thats my story (:

  • My Boyfriend's family eats faster than cheetahs after a hunger strike. Made sense? Doesn't matter. I used to be the slowest eater in my home. I really enjoyed my food. Now I eat faster than my BF does!!! He's lucky enough to just be a little pudgy, but I've gained weight over the years to the point of going up more sizes than I dare say. Help!

  • Sounds like a nice book! :)

  • So what about the many women who have girlfriends or wives instead of boyfriends? I go through this same problem when I'm in a relationship with a girlfriend. I wish the book had more of an inclusive, all-encompassing title, but I could still use it.

  • When I met my boyfriend, he made me feel completely comfortable with my body. After about 3 months I gained 15 lbs & adopted the mindset that I didn't have to impress anyone anymore, because I had found my true love & he loved me unconditionally. Wrong! He dumped me for a much prettier, skinnier girl a few months later. So I dropped the 15 lbs & an additional 5, thanks to you guys. I'm still quite bitter though :/

  • I already have that book & its great (dont enter me!)

I've never gained weight in a relationship really, maybe a little but I generally eat very healthy & keep up w/ reg. exercise. Then again, I've yet to live w/ a bf either. But whats important is to know how to stay healthy & fit so that you don't eat a lot of fast/junk food.

Its the same thing that happens w/ most people when they enter college (freshman 15).

  • true

  • i am the boyfriend and i eat alot

  • i have the opposite...an itty bitty girlfriend! BUT she eats like how you would imagine a big fat boyfriend...all she eats is sweets junk food and hardly gets off the couch or out of bed lol but she gains absolutely no weight at all...meanwhile i have lost over 70lbs eating healthy, but its VERY difficult becuase we live together and watching her eat all those super unhealthy but extremely delicious foods makes dieting a challenge to say the least..i think i could definitely use that book!

  • When me and my hubby first dated our version of a "night out" was going out for donuts lol. When eating fast food i was find eating just a burger and water. He'd order a dbl cheeseburger w/ Xlg fries an XLg soda. Of course i'd steal his fries and now i order my own ugh. not good.

Eight yrs and 30lbs later i need to find a balance and this book looks like it will be a big HELP. Did i forget to say HELP??? lol

  • My boyfriend is such a picky eater. All he likes to eat is chicken from McDonalds, Chocolate cookies, and Pizza. If I want to eat out with I have to go to somewhere that serves either of those things or he just sits there and doesn't eat. He's a really great guy and we've been dating a long time, but he's just a really picky eater. My waistline however has suffered because of his eating habits.

    =/

  • My big fat boyfriend LOVESSS to drink beer, eats a ton of red meat when we BBQ on the weekends. We go to the gym, I do my cardio he insists on doing weight training and drinking muscle milk once/twice a day! As you can imagine his belly just keeps getting bigger. Your BF has a six pack? Well my BF has a KEG. I could really use this book. lol

  • Great contest!

My BFB insists on eating take out pizza on Friday nights. Every Friday night. He likes to unwind after a long work week, but I think eating greasy take out pizza on a weekly basis is ridiculous! Help me!!!

  • When I met my boyfriend he was already big he weighed 265lbs and I weighed 120 and Im 5ft and hes 6ft. After 2 yrs of dating i am 140 and he is 295. We have gained alot weight because all we can do is EAT. I have picked up ALOT of the bad eating habits he has. We're still in our early twenties. We're tired of this extra lbs and need help to losing weight and living healthy life styles. All I do now is watch diethealth and Tone It up! But owning that book would be icing on a cake!Thank You Sarah!

  • my ex bf used to buy me Chinese food like everyday since he knew i loved it i gain 50 lbs and i'm still trying to get it off. he told me he kept buying it for me because he likes big ladies =( now i'm 70lbs over weight and sad thank god i dumb him maybe i can try to lose it now.

  • my bf tells me to stop eating junk but he eats junk before bed and he cannot give up pop. i keep telling him to drink water and he doesn't even have a single bottle of water in his house. when he eats cookies, he drinks pop. when he's eating ice cream, he drinks pop. when he's eating candy, he drinks pop. when he's eating banana chips, he drinks pop. he drinks pop with everything.

  • lol :)

  • Im a vegetarian and I dated a guy who wasn't. We had to eat out a lot and in the 3 weeks we dated I gained 5 pounds! But I lost it when we ended things. lol. Still single and would love the book!! :)

  • I KNEW IT! Boys are stupid. Throw rocks at them.
