  • Gayest video ever.

  • @hotshot87 Ahh the redneck found a computer. Biggest idiot ever.

  • My father played for the Navy Midshipmen that year and helped pull off the biggest upset of the '84 season. Navy 38- #2 South Carolina 21. GO NAVY!

  • @NoPancakeMixxx 1984....couldn't do it this year eh...

  • @bridaco Almost pulled it off, but almost doesn't count.

  • Growing up in Connecticut, a Giants fan of course, Joe Morrison was my HERO. He played 6 different positions and just knew how to score touchdowns. Inside the 20, there was only ONE man to go to. He was the only bright star during a LONG stretch of bad Giants team. When he worked his way to South Carolina, it was a crowning acheivment. I actually got to see him on national TV again. I'll tell you this, had he lived, he would have been coaching the Giants, maybe even to a Superbowl. Miss you JOE

  • Even in an extended season the Cock bums can't win 10 games. One 10 win season in their pathetic existence. 100 years to win their first bowl game. How can anyone be a fan of such a horrible program?

  • @ghostoferkrussell Ignorance must be bliss. Keep your computer backwoods bum. You can't even get the facts right.

  • TIME TO MAKE THE 2010 SQUAD JUST AS MEMORABLE!!! BTW-IM A GC FAN AND YOU COULDNT HAVE PICKED MORE OF A LAME SONG

  • At least the Gamecocks got lucky then....Morrison was the catalyst as well as the benefactor.....it's a shame that he didn't get to put another 10 or 12 winning season together before his death.

  • We love ya Coach Joe! You were one Helluva coach! I was young and living on the west coast (in the process of moving back to SC) when my brother called me to say Coach Joe had passed. I hung up the phone and cried. I loved my Gamecocks beforehand but I credit Joe Morrison for making me crazyass insane for not only Gamecock football but football in general.

    WE LOVE YOU COACH MORRISON!!!

  • Did you hear about Clemson shutting down their computer courses? They kept having to replace the screens b/c of all the white-out on them.

  • Come on now, give them their due, they won the weak side of an especially weak conference, I mean weaker than usual....so man they Rock!!

  • Props to Joe Morrison. If he hadn't passed away he'd still be the coach now.

  • Joe Morrison smoked cigarettes on the sidelines!! He was a great coach here. He added a new interest in the program. He also loved to party hard. I think that contributed to his early death. He got caught up in the steroid scandal. I heard he never raised his voice at a player, or a coach. He treated his players like grown men. This sometimes backfired. It took a mature player to play for him. I miss coach Morrison. He was awesome. I remember when he died like it was yesterday.

  • I don't believe in "karma" or Mo-jo but perhaps the football gods granted USC fans 1 wish for all eternity....and 1984 was that 1 wish with coach Joe Morrison as ...Jesus ?

  • Hard to believe it's been 25 years ago, one great year

  • if it wasnt for navy we might have won the national championship and changed the program forever and maybe not be so mediocre

  • Nothing really to be proud of. The 84-88 seasons were all tainted with the Gemecock steroid scandal that killed Joe Morrison...

  • One of my proudest moments as a Gamecock fan, was in 84, team came home from Navy, huge crowd greeted them, thanking them for the season. Yes, Navy was a blemish, but they have been trying to have that kind of year ever since. I thought, well this is the reward for being a Gamecock fan!

  • Yeah man i can't believe that. Im a big south carolina fan and as good as they were and they screwed it all when they played navy.

  • titanic? lmfao

  • What a freakin season.. talked to a guy in n.c. today who went to every game that year.. lucky ol dude,, ROLL BIG SPURR!!!!

  • what hokey music

  • if we could have the navy game back

  • yeah go gamecocks. carolina rocks!

  • I was there in Clemson when we beat the farmers 22-21 for the 1st time in 15 years. I still can't forget the atmosphere.

  • Ironic that you picked the theme to Titanic to represent your season sinking like the ship did

  • irony you're an asshat.

  • yeah navy sunk our season, but we did beat clemson, the only team to beat their seniors in death valley (back when clemson was actually good). We got shafted in the bowl game.

  • no, you just enraged them to kick ass!

  • It's funny clemson fans are so obsessed with south carolina football. Why?? My guess is when you play in a shitty conference and you haven't won a conference title in 17 years maybe you just give up. Or maybe when you can't win a mid-level bowl game you give up. Or maybe when you realize your only NC was bought and paid for (three years probation following) the best times are behind you. Whatever the case may be, glad to have your expert input on carolina football.

  • @bull864 yeh clemson sucks, but what has your team ever done in the sec.So if the sec conference is so tough then why did usc join it in the first place?I'm sure you could have joined the big east or returned to the acc and continued to be a mediorce football program.

  • @sammys70 We joined the SEC because they were expanding at the time and we got invited, not to mention the money factor. I wish we were in the ACC because we would be a contender in football and it would improve our basketball because we would face better competition. The ACC is already a top-notch baseball league, so it would be a good move. And yes, we haven't done anything in the SEC, but you know as well as I that going 7-5 in the SEC equates to going 9-3 in the ACC.

  • @sammys70-HMMMMMMMMMMM....make it to the SEC Championship? Something Clempsun would never do!

  • Navy wasn't on tv, but then again your brain doesn't work that well. I am sorry if you pull for the one school in state that cheats to win its football NC. GG Please fail more as usual Clemson jackoff.

  • actually, the Navy game was on tv, or at least it was here in Summerville..Not even a Gamecock fan myself but I do recall that game being on.

  • Loved it, took me back to 1984. I went to the Georgia game and can remember Ira Hillary making that awesome catch down the sidelines. Also, went to the Clemson game and LOVED it when our Quarterback stuck the football in refrigerator Perrys face and drop it.

  • A 2-lose record-Best Season Ever? Pathetic! Yeah this is definitely a 116 year old ship wreck.

  • the only thing that's pathetic is you.

  • dude, why the fuck do you taters always comment on our gamecock videos. go mind your own business and tend the sheep!

  • What does a clemson cheerleader and the unibomber have in common?? They were both fingered by their brother.

  • @bull864 Classic!!!!

  • Liked the video too...my only complaint as a fellow USC fan is using the Titanic music, which makes me think of the ocean, which makes me think of Navy. Oh yeah, and a couple of thousand people freezing in the icy North Atlantic. But at least one was Leonardo Dicaprio. What was my point again???

  • Am a Clemson fan, but did like this video. Purchased a book years ago from the SC Athletic Department about the 1984 season by a Tom Price. Joe Morrison was a class person. As a football fan, and a person, miss him as well.

  • Man i miss Joe

  • nice vid

  • R.I.P joe. we miss you! black magic forvever!

  • Way to go Joe!!!

  • Anchors Away!

  • 12 men on the field

  • Very cool video!!!!
