Personally, im not a fan of Gears, let alone the Unreal Engine. I prefer the Source Engine over it anyday. But there is no crime in exploring other possibilities with other engines. I'm thinking maybe something with the GTAIV engine if it ever releases on PC. With the talent at LitFuse, that would really be another great addition to the collection. Keep it up GUYS!
