My 22 yr old Son Sean Good died from his addiction to Ritaline. Sean was diagnosed as ADD in the 6th grade. Please look into non-amphetamine/speed treatment or time release/ Sean was a good boy who wanted so bad to do good,. He had a 3.85 GPA until his Junior year and he started dropping courses. He had lost jobs and been told he was slow until he believed he could not do anything without the addictive Ritalin. He is free now. Sean has a facebook page if you want to see him if it hasnt shut down
I wasn't quite that hyper, but was prescribed Ritalin anyway. Ritalin was much too strong. I tried the Feingold diet, which worked perfectly. I also quickly learned that coffee made me calm. When I was 7 years old, I was reading the ingredients on packages, knowing that artificial colors make me hyperactive.
Ritalin has a tendency to drain the liveliness out of the user. It literally will KILL the hyperactivity or pep that a person shows.
Due to those effects, people who are prescribed Ritalin are commonly known as zombies to everyone else. You won't typically see them expressing too many emotions.
There's quite a few Ritalin zombies running around my little private school, so I get to hang out with them daily.
Try an non amphetamine drug like stratera. My oldest son said the same thing about Ritalin and he quit it all together. His younger brother was not so lucky. He died this year Nov 4 from addiction and overdose.
I'm sorry to say it's not. I used to take ritalin, and it will take the liveliness out of you. You have a harder time laughing and enjoying life. It makes you less sociable, just makes you dull.
But well im just saying that from a personal experience.
This is best video i've seen on youtube.
