If you want to know the truth, the best music has never really been on the radio 5000 times. You can find great music in any era if you're willing to look and with the internet, it's easier than ever.

@ManekiNeko1972 I only know Disturbed out of those bands. I used to like them way back, but can't stand 'em now. 90s music are just so much more real. The defining trait of 2000- music is the inability to convey emotion to the listener.

Sadly I have yet to be proven wrong, I will listen to those bands you listed, maybe there is still some great bands out there I haven't yet heard of but it seems unlikely.

@NearDark87 Well, Hibria is power metal that will just kick your ass. Timelord is good because they're technical - There's a lot of complexity in their songs. Benedictum is in the style of heavy metal of the '80s, but they have a few songs like "Steel Rain" and "Valkyrie Rising" that are more emotional. Triosphere is probably your best bet. There's a good combination of fist-pumpers and emotional music on their second album. White Skull's 2009 album "Forever Fight" is a story album.
