  • this was when he was real young like when he looked almost like a teen & da youngest seen him perform on tv

  • I quite like this song, although, i have to say i do prefer it when Japan (David Sylvian) sing/perform it.

  • Man, I know artists these days talk about having swag and style and what not, while some of them do...they are all left in the dust by these guys. True style right here! love it!!

  • Although I love the original recording, I also think live performances like this one are SO MUCH BETTER than lip syncing to the studio track when performed on TV.

  • percussion!!!

  • Too bad men don't wear cool suits anymore.

  • owwww smokey is so sexy hoowwwwwww!

  • got to love the classics! I know I do somkey was so beautiful and the good thing about that......HE STILL IS TODAY. smokey fan 4life! :)

  • A Classic and one of My Favorites as well.

Don't get mad but this version sound weak for Smokey.

...no bass until the very end and soft harmonies?! I am not quite sure what he was thinking with this arrangement of this song. It just don't have the kick as the version on the record.

It is still a rare gem.

    Thanks for posting it.

  • That's because The Miracles were using Mike Douglas' house band instead of their own. Most TV shows used their own house bands which were , for the most part, not used to playng R&B music , so, the results were less than stellar.

  • @funny0000000 I read somewhere that of all the Motown performers, Smokey's was the weakest, due to his fragile voice. When they went on the Motertown revue tours, Smokey could only do one set a day while some of the others did more than one.

  • @craigmusic1707 thats a dumb reason to label someone as the weakest.

  • i LOVE Smokey! he was cute and he still looks good 69! he kills me with those "oh's"' (1:35) especially on the recordin. lol @ the lil thing he did at the end

  • Classic Motown & i`ll Second that Emotion !!!,.ktf.
