I hate Aaron Heilman that motherfucking piece of shit i will never get over the 2006 mets and i will never be able to erase the horrible memory that son of a bitch has engraved into my brain.
@BigBluenym no dont like citi field, its actually a good ball park its the dimensions suck, the wall blows, and that little shit where it juts out like 10 yards, its not necessary, shea could have been remade in the outfield area, they just didnt think it over and todays baseball is all about money, im a phillies fan and i think shea and old yankee stadium were the best venues of their time.
@playerdepimp yeah i hate the dimensions but the dumbass person who designed ruined it..shea remined you of mets with all of the mets colors..citi looks stupid in dark green/blue or whatever the hell it is

Nice to see a video of Mets fans cheering for the eventual (10 time) World Champion Cardinals. Good to see the frustration of losing to Whitey Herzog and the boys on a regular basis has set in. A step in the right direction.
I agree the mets had the perfect team in 06.I just dont know what happend towards the end, maybe a little too excited?Anyways i still think about it and get upset lol.
this was our chace we had the perfect team with young stars nd some great older players i still dont no how they blew it nd i was there it still hurts
It felt so wrong when the Cardinals won. Like...like destiny had somehow gone horribly wrong. It was OUR destiny to win that year, I felt it from start to finsish. So when we lost Game 7 it felt surreal. Like it wasn't supposed to end that way. I still feel that way to this day.
heilman fuckin sucked he would have like a good ining evryonce and a while but mostly he'd do shitty he alredy blew a lead for the cubs in a game i saw earlier this year so things havent changed 4 him
The philidelphia phaggots have been in the majors for over 100 years and your team only has 2 titles. The mets have been in the league for less than 60 years and we have 2. So why dont you shut the fuck up and stop looking at mets videos you fucking chode.
not sure how those years are relevant since the only thing that matters is this year. LOL at u being wrong and lol at the mets not being world champions
that was their year, carlos should have swung, and yes mikey1829 you hit the nail right on the head, we need a whole new bullped with k-rod as the closer
Jeff Suppan had a horse shoe up his ass. That bastard picked the worst time to change from Suppan to Superman. After "the catch" we should have put the Cardinals away but Valentin swung at that pitch that almost hit his kneecap and Beltan watched that last pitch with the bat on his shoulder. This one still hurts<<
All I know is that we better make some noise this year or theres a lot of faces you won't be seeing in Met uniforms next year. And they BETTER go out and get K Rod because this bullpen is horrible..29 blown saves as of today<<<<<<<
hey mrmizarky. wish in one hand and poop in the other and see which one fills up first. cards world series winner!!!!!!!!! you guys still had a good year. just be proud of second place, should be used to it
actually billy wagner was the reason we dint go 2 da world series he blew 2 games ya just got luky cuz we was a way better team then the fukin cardinals that yr
Even the Fox announcers said that after six straight fastballs, there is not a lefthanded hitter alive that would have got that breaking ball. I believe it was Tim Mcarver who said it.
I stand by what I said and I think most people would agree with me. Winning a seven game series is no fluke. Your team lost; get over it.
Also, Wainwright's pitch was not luck. The bottom completely fell out of it and as for striking out an injured Cliff Floyd... If he was injured then he should not have been up there hitting with the season on the line.
poooky how can you argue this team wasnt a fluke? They played well for 7 games. Not even actually. Where were the cardinals during the season that year besides choking away their pitiful divison. How can you call a team that limps into the playoffs that eventually wins the world series NOT a fluke??? get good dude...
Yeah, the Cards were so bad that they destroyed the Padres, got by the Mets and humiliated the Tigers. They (Cardinals) had endured injuries all year and to win a championship after all that they went through that year almost makes of for the failures throughout the years with over 100 wins. You seem to forget that the Cards have been on both sides of it.
You seem to forget that the Padres sucked dick and were just as streaky as the cards. Well, maybe not so much but you get the point. As for the tigers, now let me just say that any team from the NL that made the playoffs in 06 wouldve won if they played the shitty ass tigers. You also seem to be forgetting that the mets had injuries as well my friend. Pedro didnt come back till late in the season and another one of our pitchers (duaner sanchez) was out cause of a taxi cab accident! Spare me.
get the hell over it already... the cards had injuries throughout the year and finally got healthy. Just remember we were in the NLCS three straight years '04-'06 and won two of them... sorry dude, no fluke
it was a big time fluke. The Mets were way better. Think about Two of the Mets starting pitchers were injured (Orlando Hernandez and Pedro), plus one of the best relief pitchers in the game was out (Dwaner Sanchez), and the Mets were still big favorites.
yeah, well thats what they said about Kurt Gibson in 88 too huh. Sometimes with an injury, you can still play through one plate appearence. He was the most biggest Home run threat off the bench and the mets were looking to end it there. Wainwright did not have a clean inning at all, and he is lucky Reyes bullet to the outfield did'nt get hit 10 feet to the left or 10 feet to the right
ever occur to you that his pitch was designed to hang? that pitch was so filthy no one was hitting that... Ted Williams is his prime wouldn't have hit that
You make it sound like that pitch made the world stop for a minute. It was an ok pitch but not the best I have seen like you make it out to be. Beltran is not the most agressive hitters out there. If he were more agressive that pitch might have been over the fence. And to answer your questions about if it ever occured to me that the pitch was designed to hang; No, it never occured to me that the pitch was supposed to hang. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
cullenrules ur a fucken idiot, St.Louis is the 2nd team in baseball with the most world champions, and how many times have they won there divison??? Fucken dumbass
the mets the best team lol. they are not the best even if their team is healthy dumbasses. it wasnt also a fluke. they were the best team at the right. mets just suck. Go YANKS!!! good job cards
yes it is great that the yankees made the playoffs, and the mets made a huge choke! 7 games ahead on sept. 12! and the mets choke it away on the last day of the season!
Oh, you mean the same Adam Wainright that loaded the bases in the bottom of the 9th with a two run lead. He only threw one good pitch in the inning in my book and i dont even think it was that good. Beltran was looking for a different pitch and got froze on what really appeared to be a hanger. the other outs were a strike out to an injured Cliff Floyd, and a Jose Reyes bullet to center that would have been extra bases if hit anywhere else.
I cant remember exactly but im pretty sure that Beltran only got three pitches in the at bat. Called strike One. Fouled off an inside pitch for strike two. Then the Breaking ball. It was a strike, and it fooled Beltran, but make no mistakeabout it. It did hang.
I saw it the other day for the first time since. I havent been able to bring myself to watch it. It was our year and we blew it. I give the cards Credit. Dont get me wrong. Its just that you can't tell me the Cards were better than the Mets. The Cards caught fire at the right time and the Mets went ICE cold at the wrong time. And even with that happening, It was still up for grabs till the 9th inning of game 7. Yeah it was a pretty good pitch to work his way out of a mess that he created.
You argue that the pitch wasn't that great and that it "hung" up there to be crushed. Then you come on here and admit that you hadn't even seen it until a few days ago...
Jrod361 is spot on. It was great for all Cards fans to see Beltran go down after the past few years of tormenting us while with the Astros. Even better that it happened in a game 7, bases loaded two out situation. One of the greatest, most vindicating moments of recent Cardinals memory.
dude your on crack if you think that pitch hung, it was one of filthiest pitches ever, just give credit were it is due, beltran has been a cardinals killer dating back to his astro days, we (the cardinals) finally found an answer and at the exact moment we needed it most
your right. you finally beat Beltran and the Mets. It was a good pitch made great by the circumstances. Wainright is lucky. He came real close to blowing a two run lead in the pth inning. Mets still should have beat them. Mets were better by far. Go position by position on the two teams. Pitcher for pither. They had it all. they also had better Chemistry. They were better individualy and as a team. It just comes down to one team got hot and one team got cold. Thats it.
Oh poor mets fans. I am sure they made excuses for their historic collapse last season as well. It is offical, the 06 mets were the only team to have injuries in a post season. 150 million will buy you an early off season
Poooky, I think your the moron. Cullen said fluke, and thats exactly what it was. If he would have said "luck" then I would agree with what your saying. How could you not think it wasn't a fluke.
