Defensible space... I really feel for you. I have many family members who live there and several of the guys on my crew in Colorado have family very close to you. We watch the reports and keep a close eye on it all. Good luck hope you stay safe.
Great, first this fire, then the Martin fire in the Santa Cruz mountains. The Hartin fire is producing a healla lot of smoke and it's going over my area.
We took a ride out to the Corrallitos Market which is 4 miles from our home. The fire is still doing it's thing, but it is not close to our place. Looks as though we made it through this one unscathed...Other members of the community, not so lucky...
P.S. The "got to love it" comment was sarcasm. We have been through many natural disasters. The comment was made "tongue in cheek" and not meant to offend anyone.
hi joebobshow! I also lived on Ormsby and lost our home. Geez, almost 2 years and it's still shocking and painful.
We are now doing tile work at Ron and Diana's new home. I hope you are well.

We are just coming down off of our 3rd wildland fire. My heart is aching, loss of homes and a lot of livestock...So so sad..

i live in north san jose (about 25-30 miles away ) i could see the smoke from here too!
