  • why don't you use a star pattern when tightening the bolts?

  • @CMA212 you're going to go over the bolts a number of times either way and going round and round is easier to keep track of.

  • What that guy say @ 3:36

  • @KillerJoeFIN i think he said "you'll wanna get comfortable"

  • AHAHAHHAHAA, and dont balance the wheel this poor brain!

  • @Lircos the tires are balanced... Internally using Dyna Beads. no worries about knocking weights off on the trails and than having a death wobble driving home. :-)

  • thumbs up for anyone who broke their knees when it slipped on the bead

  • Hahaha, A little bump or scrape ain't gonna stop me from getting the job done.

  • That would've hurt like hell if he would've came down on top of that and landed knees first on that rim!

  • @MrMyNameIsBrandon this is not for the weak of heart :-)

  • I'd have no hope getting the tire on. I only weight 120 lbs.

  • @xIceman00789x ha ha ha... you can always enlist a friend.

  • @Pawandeep211 good question. Most of the time when you loose a bead it occurs on the outside so most bead lock wheels only lock down the outside. There are some bead lock wheels that do have lock rings on both the inside and the outside to hold both tire beads.

  • You could of used sum wd 40 to mount it easier, and cross torque the bolts instead of following the circle...way easier and less work..

  • @subcomandante77 Good suggestion. Thx

  • @subcomandante77 chemicals destroy rubber i suggest using a proper tire lubricant or soap

  • @HandicappedMind , not exactly ur not gona use the whole bottle, it will be just a quick spray, I worked in a 4x4 shop and i did this trick and nothing ever happened..it would be like a spray from carburator cleaner to seat a bead wont hurt..

  • wheres the bead lube?

  • @mustang50dominates No tire soap used on this install. If you do use tire soap in combination with the dyna-beads be careful not to get any soap on the inside.

  • what was that stuff in the pouch that u put in to the tire???? and what does it do

  • @CoDkiller1011 those were dyna beads used to balance the wheels. Check out our web site for a complete explanation of how they work.

  • what was that stuff in the pouch that u put in to the tire????

  • HOW SOMETHING SO IMPRACTICAL GETS SO POPULAR? THEY LOOK COOL THOUGH.

  • @EstebanCRC you dont get the point of beadlocks do you?

they simply hold the bead of the tire to the wheel when the the pressure in the tire is insufficient to do so. it is great for off-roading many of us deflate the tires down to 15-20 psi which is ok if you don't have beadlock tires. though i know people who deflate down to 5 psi when deflating it is best to have beadlocks or suffer flats.

but you are right in one regard. they do look cool.

  • @idontrunntoofast OK... now it makes sense. Tks Dude.

  • @MasherTroll its funny though isn't it? the fact that most people that put them on their truck don't use them for their intended purpose. most of the time they simply want a cool looking truck and waste their time and money on something they don't really need for cruising the streets.

  • @idontrunntoofast :-) yup but that does help keep the price lower for all of us who use them off road. The blue bunny is not street princess. She's been to the Arctic Ocean, Rubicon and just came back for following the Baja 1000.

  • @idontrunntoofast They look good, served us well and have taken a beating... The Rubicon and Baja 1000 couldn't destroy them and they let us air down to about 8 psi when the "road" got gnarly. If you need them, bead lock wheels are hard to beat.... And they do add to the cool factor :-)

  • @EstebanCRC for the street you can get "bead look" or "mock bead lock" wheels... less money if you're not going to go off road (and air way down). They give you the look.

  • Would that work for a regular passenger wheel?

  • @03SilverMustangGT not so much since with the bead lock wheels one side is rimless making easier to get on... but the strap around the tire will allow you to inflate and set a bead on any tire.

  • thank you very much good sir for this video! it was very helpful and just the video i was looking for :) you sir sure know your stuff...keep the videos comming! i have a lot to learn! :D

  • @TheOxTube I'm very glad you liked. Check our website for more how to and 4x4 adventure articles, pictures and info.

  • o and nice fj. wouldnt mind one just like that!

  • @98offroadFORDexpo :-) thank you very much.

  • what exactly was the point for the new valve stem? i didnt really understand that.

  • @98offroadFORDexpo good question... the new valve core has a filter on it to keep the Dyna Beads we use for balance where they belong and not all bunched up in the valve stem. Stop by our web site and search "all about balance" to read more.

  • @lastgreatroadtrip o okay. i get it now. cause the beads would see that as a spot unbalanced and go there. i see. kool thanks.

  • i mount about 3 bead locks a week for my dirt modified it just seals alot quicker and you dont need the tie down strap.

  • if you use windex on the tire when you mount it it will go on a little easyier!

  • @ReDnEcKrCrAcInG Thanks for the tip.

  • eff. i broke a ratchet strap doin this to get my bead to seat on my new atv tires. ADVICE: make sure your strap is in good condition. other wise bad things will happen. (ratchet flew across shop and dented wall)

  • @autolover3 ouch... hope no one got hurt and that is very good advice to check your equipment before subjecting it to intense pressures. Thanks for the note.

  • Great video just got a set of beadlocks and this helps a lot. Have you had any hassle with the cops about running those?

  • Thank you... Glad it helped. We have not had any issues from the police... other than compliments on the rig. We have also looked up the WA State Regulations and no where does it speak about bead lock wheels. There are so many bead LOOK wheels out there it would be hard to tell true from faux bead locks.

  • very well instructed video...nice

  • Thank you... appreciate the feed back.

  • never heard of those balance beads before, kind of cool!!

  • they have worked our really well... with about 8K miles on them (daily drive, long road trips, HARD trails) the wheels still spin smooth thx to the beads... Next time I'm going to try the bigger size beads so no valve stem filters are required.

  • hey i got a question,, where did you buy these beadlocks? im looking forward to getting some when i get new tires, thanks!

  • Metal Tech (metaltech4x4 . com) they are Walker Evens.. you can see good pictures of them on our web site.

  • @lastgreatroadtrip thanks man!

  • i like the toyo mts!

  • The Toyos have been good tires... after 50k miles it is time to go shopping... and go through all this again to mount new rubber on the beadlocks.

  • beautiful Toyota FJ cruiser

  • Thank you very much

  • nice beadlocks!

  • Thanks... they worked out well on the Rubicon... definitely took a pounding and got banged up... They are not bling

  • yea...

  • thank u about this nice video

  • Glad you liked it.

  • bead LOCKER, hell yah

  • thanks man, idk if you know but is there some way you can use a beadlock ring to give your fake beeldock wheel a sweet look??

  • sorry but i do not know... but i'm sure others out there do. good luck figuring it out.

  • there is, i dunno who makes it but theres a company that makes a weld on and bolt on ring

  • im gonna put tires on like that from now on..looks alot more fun..lol..good instructions tho

  • lol... thx I'm glad you like the video.
