I know he's not Muslim, and so do all those that tried to smear him as one as if it were a bad thing to be one in the first place. Yet Obama and his disgusting campaign is equally as bad as those who deliberatly pretend he's Muslim as his campaign discrimated against 2 Muslim female supporters in telling them they couldn't stand behind Obama in the camera shot wearing headscarfs as it was politically controvercial. I agree it should be about issues, which can include religious tolerance (in which Obama's capaign and the Republican campaign have failed the test in certain indefensible instances) but not focus on what particulary religion they are as if it was a qualification. It was apparently a big deal that Kennedy was Catholic. Blair changed is religion to C of E when PM & back to Catholic when out of office. People said Mitt Romney had a Morman problem.People consider Muslim as a smear. It's ridiculous.

It doesn''t take away from the point that I was initially arguing before in how people's religion shouldn't be treated as a qualification of disqualification. This particular example is under dispute, but that was the point that I was making.
