The Union of the Snake is a metaphor for the shadow world government that is "on the climb" or effectively consolidating it's power. Interesting thought. I always thought that if the cultural elite wanted to hypnotize children to accepting a certain line of thinking, movies and music be the best way to get that accomplished.

This video always did remind me of the hidden world of the occult. Snakes are a symbol of wisdom (union of the snake =the union of this reality with that of the hidden world of the occult). Still, I guess one would have to ask the songwriter what he meant.
