  • The interviewer sounds like a 9th grader mixed with kermit the frog...Kurzweil is like man I can't believe im doing this interview right now

  • I do not understand all the excitement. I was doing this with CDRom's in the 90's. Common people. All this is, is a repackage of an older technology.

  • 4:32 "... and here it's showing educational content, but in theory, uh, you could have a magazine that has video advertising..." WTF! Why does consumerism junk culture need to immediately steal every great idea?! I DONT WANT VIDEO ADS! I HATE COMMERCIALS! Leave me and my educational content alone!

  • that science book is what i want

  • very nice

  • This is not that impressive--a lot of this stuff has been out there. As far as kids, check out Disney Digital Books--pretty wonderful.

  • @maxdboy100...dude you are a true dumbass.

  • If we ever want utopia we will have to shed the business suits. They are inherently dystopian.

  • @alexxarian Okay, I'll bite. How are business suits dystopian?

  • @SamSpade2010 Imagine, everything else being equal, that everyone wears a business suit or any other kind of ideological uniform. Now imagine that everyone wears cool looking casual clothes of all kinds. Which scenario is the most aesthetically pleasing one? Now compare the average effect on the world of uniform wearing groups (especially suit wearers) with the the effect of those who don't. The more business suit wearers the more society resembles a corporate police state.

  • @alexxarian Lol @ at your wild assertion. Conformity is just herd mentality.

  • @SamSpade2010 On the other hand, lack of business suits surely isn't a sufficient condition for a utopian society, but it definitely is a necessary one.

  • @alexxarian You're a deep thinker my friend.

  • The interactive quality would be great for text books. I hope this catches on!

  • Sounds interesting but I'd much rather have it on a portable device. Still, worth a download.

  • @Transcentity It will work on portable devices. Did you listen during the first part of the video? They mention that the key is having Blio work with all kinds of devices, so that you don't have to hunt for the right one, or bring more than one device with you.

  • @Transcentity It seems you will be able to have it on a portable device. Its website lists an iPhone and an iPod version aswell as a Windows version.

It'd be cool if they had an Android or a Windows mobile version, though.

  • how many ppl go to the computer to read and e-book, isn't that why they have portable e-book readers, and Ina Fried, WTF?

  • What is the software called and where will we be able to download it from once it becomes available?

  • That is sick that would actually get me interested into reading if it was easy to get books, news, magazines subscriptions ect

  • i like it (to my kids)

  • @maxdboy100 maybe once you grow a big enough set to pay for your own mac book air and stop making shitty review videos you'll do a little reading and educate yourself about the interviewee and his significance regarding your snot nosed technology abusive life. YOU are what is wrong with this country...your whole life is a FAIL

  • Interesting!

  • What about foreign languages??? Is this only for books in english I wonder.
