  • A very beautiful song that I had the privilage of listening to during the twilight hours and then late or early mornings of a late in the night while I walked the pacific coast trail and made camp on,and also on the eve's of making camp. I found it a great inspration numerous times during my trek through the Sierras ,and the Cascades to the finish of the PC trail at the border of Canada

  • que honor haberlos tenido en viña, uno de los pocos grupos excelentes de los últimos años

  • 3 people don`t have a soul. The song includes fantastic lyrics. Everytime i hear this i think about life. Unfortunately much people of my generation don`t see how great the song is. At least i know it.

  • I love this song. It reminds me of my dad (may he rest in peace)...I remember everytime this song would play, he would stop whatever he was doing, crank it up and sing along with it. It's one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time.

  • @morinavampile What a nice story about your dad.

  • @kellykinsellives Thank you very much :)

  • I remember my first Kansas Concert back in the 70's don't remember much of it though...LOL :o) Thanks for the fond memories :o)

    Peace: Morph

  • I saw them 3 times in the 70's and they put on great shows. this performence was just as good as it was back then.!! It brings back alot of memories

  • I am only 16. I can't even begin to describe how i feel like this current era is not where i belong. I belong in the 70s. Where music required talent and emotion, not a couple buttons and publicity stunts.

  • its still the same old song. still better than other words of "wisdom" told in our music today.

  • I was in the audience that day and i didnt know kansas back then(was 13),but all the people incluiding me just listened to this incredible musicians in complete silence.

  • este tema me recuerda el programa magnetoscopio musical,

muy buen clásico de mi época

  • Hi Dave just remembering our old times around the big three with Jon...

  • I remember the day this song came out and what I was doing. This is such a powerful song.

  • canal 13

  • pta no vi ese dia el festival :(

  • @chwin32

yo tmpoco, pero se me pusieron los pelos de punta al solamente escuchar este "TEMAZO" de kansas!!!

    viva el rock!!!

  • The song has such a greater impact due to their age now.

  • xd bien

  • toca bien hagrid

  • I also recently purchased an electric violin as I am an antique in need of a hobby and this is one of the songs that I hope to learn one day.

  • Lord oh lord, I was 11 years old when this came out originally. I feel positively antique.

  • steinhardt seems really out of place...he looks tired and old, his vocals were bad, and his solo was off tempo. ragsdale is waaaaay better

  • @tannertehpianist Robbie has been in showbiz for a long-ass time. Now that he left kansas, Im glad he's getting the rest he deserves with his family.

  • I'm sorry but kansas, isn't the same without Robby Steinhardt. He's a violin god!

  • música linda demais!!!

  • hagrid? o_O xD

  • Suverän sång

  • There's nothing like old dinosaurs of rock playing their own classics!

  • They sound just as good as they did when they first did this song back in 70's.

  • lol I love the crowd's reaction when they started playing the song.

  • So awesome!!! Steve Walsh can still belt out the vocals! I just HAVE to see them live again!

  • Walsh can f*ckin sing; love it. Hellava keys player too.

  • the message of the song painfully true the way they present gives us a little release from the truth the sands of time for me really are running low

  • Rapaaaiz! O Lula toca violino muito melhor do que governa o Brasil! hahahahhahahaha

  • uno de los mejores temas de todos los tiempos!great song!!

  • sekoss :) esa kancion uuss rekuerdoss

  • Inolvidables momentos viendo este gran show de Kansas. Como comentan más abajo, sin duda esta canción perdurará por siempre y será un himno de los seguidores del rock.

  • Yippee ki-ay !

  • greetings from the great state of Kansas... we still love our Kansas! WE agree with King below, and after nearly 30 yrs, we are glad you like our locals!.... we have seen them so many times here in the KC area....

  • David Ragsdale (violinist) reminds me of Shane Embury (bassist) of Napalm Death

  • In my case, he remids me Hagrid from the Movie Harry Potter.

  • I am 29 and this song is not from my era... but, there are not words to describe how much I adore this; as I know that it speaks to the depth of the human heart.

Long live Older People than me!! ...I appreciate the generation gap!

  • Cheers my friend, cheers :)

  • I couldn't agree with you even more!

    Very well put!

  • @kingkongpingpongdong couldnt have said it better myself. what you said is just awesome.

  • @kingkongpingpongdong The Elders will allways know the answers, just ask or listen to the stories!

  • @kingkongpingpongdong

i couldnt have said it better .. i like growing old , and i wish to everybody to get happier while getting older

  • @kingkongpingpongdong you got wat it takes to be a great man

  • @kingkongpingpongdong This was an awesome time, I wish you could have known the simplicity of this era. Thanks for the appreciation.

  • @kingkongpingpongdong appreciate you saying that. i was walking around the halls of my junior high school hearing this on peoples radios in between classes. it was an instant classic as you might imagine and to be there, well, in the era, anyway, makes me proud that i was around at a classic's inception

  • @kingkongpingpongdong Thanks..It was the best era ever 70's and 80's. Its nice to see the younger generation embrace the older classic bands and all their masterpieces.

  • @kingkongpingpongdong Yerp. Back when we were 60 and 70 years old, us old people were listening to this classical music... Typical of most "kids" today.... Even "back then", we kids were listening to other older classics.... The problem now is the formulaic bullshit music and how much it sucks and doesn't last. But, strangely, this song about "temporary" lasts forever... Oh, well, better get my "gat" and my "fohty", and hit the streets... gangtsa-G and such

  • @kingkongpingpongdong i'm 15 and this son is not form my era:):) i love kansas:) by Nobuo89's sister

  • OMG!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • Amo muito essa música e a banda Kansas q é uma lenda, essa música nos diz muito sobre o q somos ou pelo menos como deriamos ser. Lindaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

  • I think that's my favorite rock ballad.

  • thanks for the music guys

  • If you like the Violin solo, have a look at the Scorpions version of ""Dust in the Wind"" for a beautiful Cello solo.

  • that has to be the greatest violin solo in history!!! lifes short, sweet and fleeting!!!

  • They are in their 50's so what? Steve Walsh's voice is 100% again! They sound better than they did 20 yrs. ago!

  • There is something validating about how time has affected these men.. they look very world weary but still sound beautiful, full of heart and if possible.. even more sincere... I guess they are starting to hear the wind coming that will blow the dust of their ashes away..

  • 1 of a Kind Band. 1 of a Kind Song. K Singer Too.

K Rocks USA Baby ! Tickster Totally Agrees !

Dust ? or Light Waves New Dimensions Energy Spirit Etc ???

  • Classic artists sold their music over the radio not via MTV videos,so for the most part didn't know what they looked like or very much cared as long as they sang well and played live at concerts not to playback audio.

  • That's the problem with todays music ,most artists are pre-fab by some corporation and can't sing a lick unless studio enhanced. And forget about singing live as most of these so called singers are lipsynching. But hey,as long as todays brainwashed youth believes they can sing and like what their favourite soon to be in rehab star looks like,it's fine.

  • Give us a break, the song is awesome..who cares what they look like? The fact that they can still perform is amazIng

  • welll. song is still awesome...

Robby Steinhardt (violin) was 56 at the time of this concert, and Steve Walsh ( Singer ) 55... all those years have definetely left their mark... Good quality music will always Rock ... respect ..! keep it up...

  • ofc they look strange, they are between 60 and 70...

  • and someday you too will be between 60 and 70 and people will say you look strange.............think about it before you open your cake hole!

  • I can't wait until you turn 60 to 70 and say that exact line to YOUR face!

    Loser!

  • Temazo!

  • Gimli?¿?¿

  • se veían un poco mal o.O qué no?

    uhmmmm

ps aún así una bellísima canción

y uno de los mejores grupos ^^

  • Maestros de maestros!!!!

  • lmao wow they aged

  • i agree, amazing song, but they look like druggies

  • beautiful song but they look unhealthy!

  • Excelente.

No pude ver a Kansas en el festival de Viña, y hasta el día de hoy lo he lamentado.

Gracias por compartir este gran video.

  • wonderful song in live ++++ great +++

  • genial, Chile!

  • this song is amazing, it brings my youth back to me, used to hear it limitless as a teenager. thanks to youtube that we can find all the diamonds here!

  • kansas the best :) always

  • he still has good voice he just trys to hard and tries to bring meaning to words that need no explanations

  • Well, at least Robbie still has his hair...I think he's the only one. You think he ever got his hair stuck in his violin? Lol

    Long live Kansas!

  • Of course he still has his hair. Yeti's don't go bald.

  • He uses his hair on his violin bow,lol-it's long enough.

  • Long Live Kansas

    Fuck coke

  • I love steve walsh's voice in the earlier years....he still sounds ok but it's a shame he chose drug abuse which now makes him sound raspy... <3 Kansas

  • This makes me feel old for sure. I remember when this was released ( I was around 9 or 10 I think). It's hard to believe that these guys are still touring. Sarah Brightman's cover of this song was also excellent.

  • I really like and enjoy the way Steve's voice sounded in the 70'and early 80s. Now his voice sounds very rusty and doesn't have the same feel.

  • Yeah, it's called ageing.

  • gracias por subir este video =)

    emocionante

  • excelente

  • great!!

  • Freakin' sweet!!!

  • Notable....

    yo estube ahi...
