I always love how ridiculously big heavy and non-aerodynamic diesels still get good gas mileage. You'd think the auto makers would take a hint and manufacture a small pickup (like an S-10) with a small diesel engine. 30mpg with a 4x4 and a 6 speed would be quite obtainable.

@ironedge626 not v6, Inline 6, 6 cylinder lines up, not in a V configuration. Most people would think why not go with a v8? Honestly Dodge out smarted them by working with cummins to design a Diesel engine that got good fuel economy but created a massive amount of HP and torque. Since its a 6 cylinder it gets good gas milage but the way the pistons and cylinders are lines up create a lot of power. Plus its a Diesel. so its good at saving fuel and being strong by itself.

I always love how ridiculously big heavy and non-aerodynamic diesels still get good gas mileage. You'd think the auto makers would take a hint and manufacture a small pickup (like an S-10) with a small diesel engine. 30mpg with a 4x4 and a 6 speed would be quite obtainable.

you get a smarty, im getting 25-26 on the highway and about 18 avg but im in colorado.... so if you live somewherte falt you will get alot better mpg.... bad ass truck though, i have the same one :D silver mega cab 2006. but hey do you have a 6inch on 35's? look at bds 8inch :D sick nasty

@ironedge626 not v6, Inline 6, 6 cylinder lines up, not in a V configuration. Most people would think why not go with a v8? Honestly Dodge out smarted them by working with cummins to design a Diesel engine that got good fuel economy but created a massive amount of HP and torque. Since its a 6 cylinder it gets good gas milage but the way the pistons and cylinders are lines up create a lot of power. Plus its a Diesel. so its good at saving fuel and being strong by itself.
