  • hey everytime when i swim i kick off the wall and off i go. but after kicking for sometime i will jus slow down and stop and get to the standing position. same for frog kick.. i will slow down and stop very fast. why is this sooo??

  • I just started my first swim class yesterday and the water is reaching my nose, so i started to panic. Almost Everyone taller than me so it's embrassing. Any advice? My next swim class is tomorrow. I'm 23yrs old ! Please Reply :)

  • @SuperEnchanted Step1= blow slowly with your nose when you put your head in the water. So the water can not go inside... Think:"bubble in my nose!" even if you don't want to blow a lot, just put 2 little bubble in your nose and it's gonna be fine...

  • @everybodyswim1 Thanks so much for replying so quickly, I'll let you know how my swim class goes tomorrow :)

  • im 13 and i think i will try this :DDD my brother always make fun of me while teaching me . but i still cant swim

  • love your vids but can someone tell me in wich store of usa can i buy a board like that?

  • question....is flutter kick diff from the normal free style leg rows....i was told by an instructor to use primarily the hips for leg rows(considering the fact knees are a little bent), here I do see its a mixture of knees and hips...could you please explain? Thanks!!

  • i tried step 1 to step 5 toda at the local gym swimming pool and i did it fantastically. thank you!

  • @nexypointy That's a really good news! Thanks for your feedback!

  • Hi i am 30 yrs old. recently joined swiming classes. My problem is that i get tired very easily and feel breathless when i am floating. Also when ever i try to move my hands my legs stop. please suggest something

  • hurray, i managed to float on the front:)...now my legs don't go down...i just went into deeper water and tried to float...that very moment, it suddenly struck my head about the position that i need to take to float and keep the feet up too.... right now, i am stuck with breathing.

  • I can float and move easily on back but my feet sinks on front crawl?!?

I am learning swimming , 4 lessons now. I can do leg kicks on back and move forward and float etc. When i try on the front (facing downwards), i slowly sink becoming vertical in the end. My coach said he couldn't figure it out.

Anybody sees the problem. I do almost the same leg speed, movement. but i don't manage to keep legs up even if i use the kickboard in my hands in front.

I am among the thin people. not fat.

  • @akedarg There are a couple of possibilities as to what could be happening. It could be a buoyancy issue, but if you say you can float, it's doubtful this is the case. The next thing to check would be your head position. If your head is too high (looking forward) in the water, your torso will fall, with proper head placement, your torso will rise. Try it and see if it helps. (I'm a Certified Swim Instructor currently assisting clients in MD.) Good luck!

  • Im already 29 and I want to learn how to swim. Is it possible??? I always tried to tread or float in water but I am still sinking in water LOL

  • @souglyworm Of course it's possible, 29 years old is perfect! I wish I could teach you;-) Don't forget to keep air inside your body if you don't want to sink.

  • @everybodyswim1 what do you mean dont forget to keep air inside my body? I have to take a deep breath or inhale? But How can I exhale it? What do I have to use?? Nose or mouth? LOL sorry I dont know any little knowledge about swimming. Everytime I swim, I aways accidentally drink the water in pool. LOL..and sometimes the water go inside my nose and its really hurts. grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I tried to use a floating board but the floating board and me also sinking in water LOL ...help me

  • @souglyworm, your issues are breathing & floating. Take a slow deep breath and slowly exhale through the nose (let it bubble out) while in the water. Some swimmers keep puff out the last air just before they breathe to clear the nose and mouth.

Your chest is like a floating balloon. Lie on that chest (back or face down) when in the water and relax. Keep the head relaxed but in line with your spine. Enjoy the feeling. When you push your chest deeper the legs tend to come up so kick gently.

  • @everybodyswim1 maybe swimming is one my weakness, But I love water and I like always go to swimming pool and pay even I don't know How to swim . but I'm not happy every time I see many people playing and laughing while treading in the middle of the pool. I always stay in the side of the pool and keep holding at edge of pool and wishing that somebody will teach me.LOL But I'll be happy and be satisfied once I learned how to tread in water.

  • What is the purpose of this drill? I am new to swimming.

  • cool like it it can help
