How to pour ceramic molds

we puchased the pump for approx. 300 dollars. the table was a plastic economy sink which cost about 10 dollars. i put a plug in the bottom. the rack on top is just some 1x2's cut to size and some 3/4" dowel rods screwed into the sides.

do you have an actual recipe of the slip that you can share. I am trying to make my own casting slip here in my hometown.

Hi, thanks for the video, its very helpful. How long does it generally take from the time when you fill the mold until you empty it? I´ve heard that you need to let the mold rest and dry after about 7 or 8 refills, is this correct? Many thanks again!

Yes, the slip can be reused. Any slip that is emptied from a mold can be mixed back in with any that you have remaining. Pour the slip from the mold back into the container and make sure that it is well mixed before you use it again. If it seems a little thick you can add a very small amount of water. If that doesnt work use silica because too much water will make your greenware brittle.
