You are comparing apples to oranges I believe. The love Adam is speaking about is not the same love as the type of love most people seek and find. Adam is speaking of pure, agape, altruistic, sacrificial love not the shallow acceptance, recognition, praise, erotic love, and manipulated love most people settle for.
