i live in blacksburg sc, and i know your only doing your job but man u guys are always blocking the crossings anyway be safe and put more videos up if u gotem i like this i use to sit on the box cars in my teens with my friends he lived real close to there as matter of fact his street is in a national book its talking about "track homeswe would through rocks at the amtrack sitting on top of the boxcars we were very stupid and young then
The Bridge (trussel) that yadkinrailfan99 is talking about is in Kings Creek south Carolina whick is like5 miles south east of Blacksburg! Its a very very small community and i grew up with some friends from there. The bridge I believe they are talking about is a long wooden bridge that is probally a good 1/4 to 1/2 mile long and is about 200 feet up from the ground that leads into a mining area that mines limestone and such and its loaded on the train there just past the bridge (trussel)!
All buffs, don't miss the NS branch north out of Blacksburg, which features a boxcar with multi-cables to separate the engines so they can pass over a bridge with light axle loadings; "The Extension Cord Route."
Wife if from Pa, right below Pittsburgh. I needed a change. I really enjoy your video, and I am planning on doing my HO layout like that. I wouldl follow that train all the way to PPG. They don't have anything like that up here. But, there are alot of trains here. As far as video I would like to see, I guess anhything like this with the 2 engines and the boxcar. Thanks alot, and great to see some old home trains. Brings back some good ole' times.
Well I hope that change works out really well for you. My wife is from IL but she moved down here. Now that the heatwave has broken I'll be heading back out to the railroad soon. I'll try to get that train for you. Take care.
Love this video. Told my wife about how they use a boxcar in the middle, and heres the video. Since moving to PA, I miss the ole' engine, boxcar, engine. I know there is a older bridge in Patterson Springs that the engine needs that boxcar to go across.
Hey, how'd you end up in PA from Shelby (or nearby town)? Have anything to do with PPG? Glad you found the video. If there's anything from back home you'd like to see I'll be glad to try to get it on video for you.
I love that train blocking the crossing when i was going to school. It was a great reason to be late!

I live so close to Earl, NC that I should be out on that line with a video camera every day.
