  • this will never happen because the universe is not structured the way modern "science" says it is.

  • This would be an interplanetary mission - a mission between planets. Inter solar mission has to be a mission between different solar systems or between different suns.

  • @sandarce There is only one sun, what i presume you meant to say is diffrent stars.

  • @ugaboj that would be an interstellar mission :-D

  • is this a movie or is this real?

  • @lebbeus ur joking...i hope...right?

  • @lebbeus lol.

  • coooool, i have the book about this never knew there also was a movie. Watching it now!

    (happy '11 everyone!)

  • Wow. What an AWESOME opening sequence. Just amazing.

  • The effects are quite good, but the dialogue sounds like an A level English essay.

  • Is this real? Did this actually happen?

  • @MynameisElliott Nope :/ but hopefully it will soon. :D

  • @bart123levo Im pretty sure this actually happened hey! I saw it on the news i think...

  • Hmm. :)

  • nice

  • Also, is it me or is the space craft they're using VERY similar to the icarus 2 in the movie sunshine?

  • @T800System it does hey!

  • BBC always produce the best dramas

  • @T800System you're an english teacher, aren't you

  • @zatoilluminati

lol, me? a TEACHER? hell no :P

    why did you ask?

  • Amazing, thank you for uploading this. Exploring space is truly the meaning of everything we have experienced as a species. We need to make our existence mean something and the meaning lies in space exploration. If we can do it then we have succeeded!

  • @questionsleadtotruth And don't forget that in the long run, colonizing space is a necessity if we are to survive as a species after our sun burns out or after we finish plundering the planet of its resources.

  • wait a minute... wouldnt mission control be observing what happened a minute ago or something and be relaying messages a minute late?

  • @spinynorman230 Absasmurfly correct. Mission control would be useless because even at closest approach to earth all rountrip communications would take just over 4 minutes, if they were crazy enough to do it with venus farthest away, the communications that aren't blocked by the sun would take almost 30 minutes to complete, all the instant decisions would have to be done by them, on their own.
