Well the real question isn't whether Bush is the worst president of the last fifty years, or even the worst of all time. The real question is where the Bush presidency ranks among the greatest mistakes America ever made. Disgraces like slavery and Vietnam are in a league of their own, but the Bush presidency isn't that far behind. No president had ever screwed up two wars before, and none have ever tarnished the country's name so badly.

Kept America safe? Maybe but Americans are not. I am European but spend a lot of time in Asia where I've found it prudent to make it clear I'm not from the US. Anti-US feeling still runs high and the US people are still blamed for all the 'security measures' that came in to force after 9/11. Some of those measures were justifiable while others were a nonsense.

@pagola NO the crisis was caused by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd that wrote a bill that forced banks to loan to unqualified borrowers. When they went into default, it caused a bubble and the subsequent collapse of the economy. Bush DID warn about the impending collapse but Democrats kept saying that Fannie and Freddie were solvent. DEMS caused this NOT Bush. Then what does Obama do? He borrows Trillions and puts out a bogus stimulous compounding the problem. Why? They want to take down America!

It is not like the nine eleven attacks were going to be a daily event.

No one has the capability of organizing such events in the US.

It took who ever did it ( international terrorist or right wing neo conservative religious right Americans ) decades of planning.
