  • So many memories involved with this piece. It was the first piece I played horn on, (I had learned to play it over the summer in order to play in an honors orchestra back in highschool, as the euphonium isn't an orchestral instrument) and little did I know how amazing that part was at the time, and how much that time would influence my later musical career. This is one of the best recordings of this I've heard. I would love to know the orchestra so I could hear the entire suite.

  • BRAVo!!!nice brass:)*ブラボー!!ホルンうますぎて感激 by japanese:)

  • Nice one, montyelfester. After lingering over two great overtures (Reznicek's tuneful 'Donna Diana' and Flotow's expressive 'Allessandro Stradella'), I wandered through Glazunov's sublime 'Seasons' then spotted this rousing old Delibes favourite. My satisfying concert of romantic opera and ballet highlights was made possible only through the thoughtfulness of Youtube contributors like you.

  • great song, what orchestra plays this performance?

  • Incredible horn part! Is there a concert band arrangement?

  • @Reezonneable

I just saw one and it's cheap enough. I can send you the link to the website.

  • @EstefanDedalus Thanks! We downloaded a concert band arrangement from Sibelius several months back. Price was $68-ish. We haven't scheduled its performance yet, but looking forward to it!
