@gregloucks, they were with distributing company Festival, the record label was Key and recorded @ Stebbing Studios. Where abouts is this other band from?
His mother Mary was my mums best friend ( she was even at my wedding lol ) when this band was formed - i went to mayfield primary in east tamiki when he was growing up in fisher cres in otara
Fantastic!!! - I use to play bass in a band with Kevin Kaukau (guitarist) back in Hastings, it was a great experience. Move over Jimmy H. Anyone know where he is now?
Orsom my friend-i got yor message by email and good 2know yor still goin strong wit Golden Harvest, and still people from all over are drawn to their music. Kia kaha' mate.J...o (you will know who i am-just fill in the 3 dots.
Yeah It was kevin, not kelvin, Kevin is my uncle, I saw this on video tape when they won the Kiwi golden record for it. Kevin does the bar gigs with penny now a days..
My Favourite. I have this on C.D and play it LOUD to PISS off all the Fuckin Aussies. They are like Blowflies and I use this track to keep them out of my back yard :).
Yeah I thought he did. I watched the other Vid and it confirmed it cheers bro! Yeah Im goin all good mate. You? Golden Harvest although not as well known act like Dragon, Split Enz or Herbs or Adrijah. "I need your love" certainly left a memorable song indeed.
Its so good to hear so much positive about a terribly Iconic Kiwi Band and yea still an awesome song.I saw them like 35yrs ago at the Gisborne sound shell when i was 11yrs old. They blew my mind, Jimi was still alive then too, he woulda loved them. I wanna go back to that time again growin up in Gizzy, May they be long remembered in the hearts of there faithful Fans.
I saw GH when they played at my school. They were so young. The lead guitarist was just like Hendrix and played his gat with a beer bottle. My ears were ringing for hours afterwards. Awesome!
Nambassa was just da bomb!! Luved every minute of it...sleeping in the open, music until late, hare krishna food,& heaps of peeps on the hills...awesome!
