When I lived in Missouri, I lived on a block that was nothing but gays, cross dressers, and transgenders, and I loved it! It was great for my kids to be exposed early and helped us all broaden our horizens. They were wonderful, and showed me some fabulous make up tips to cover my bruises on my body (at the time I was married to an abusive man) and they were so sweet trying to hlp build my confidance up. I did divorce the guy, and they helped us so much!

There's a reason it's called the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) community. We all face the same criticism and discrimination from heterosexual society - "it's pretty nasty to them" to be GLB or T. Please don't put down transgender people. For a gay man to say "being a tranny is pretty nasty" is really bigoted, transphobic and offensive to transgender people. If that is truly your opinion, I understand. But please try to be more sensitive of transgender issues.

And while you may think being transgender is nasty, you could conceivably be classified as transgender by the rest of society because of your attraction to people of the same sex.
