It looks smal because its 2 miles away. The C5 has more wing area than a B-747 and is larger, and can hold more weight. The new C5M with new engines can easily out carry a 747. A C5B can handle 280,000lbs of cargo on top of the 620,000lb empty ramp weight. Once airborn, the C5 can aeriel refuel to maximum capacity of 325,000 lbs of fuel. Only one refueler currently can do this in one shot, and that is the KC-10A.
They are more powerful than you think! The C5 may have similarities of the 747,but the engines sound different and more powerful.Powerful enough to lift that plane off the ground with all that heavy cargo in it,including the weight of the C5.

it looks like a 747 mixed with an-124 and c-141 those engines dont look powerfull enough...!

Ah. I used to live here.
My dad was stationed here for five years.
We used to fly all the way to the states on one of these babies. I loved it.
I'm gonna miss those roaring engines. :)
