  • Toobad it's a Chevy

  • @therichesthobo1 I wasn't aware that "toobad" was a word in the English language? Must be a Ford or Dodge thing. The title of this video is "Lifted Chevy Silverado", there are no illusions as to what you are getting when you click on it. So how about next time before you spam someones video with useless comments, you spend that time instead and go get a better education!

  • @jorg95 I actually clicked on this video just to say that, and about education, i can see that you have some mistakes up there, You stupid Chevy rattle trap lover

  • @therichesthobo1 Ahhh, very nice comeback, I'm sure it took you a couple hours to form that sentence. I love your proper use in punctuation or rather lack there of. My previous assessment of your education still stands. Please go take (or more likely retake) an English course and learn how to properly form a sentence. Then maybe we can finish this back and forth we've got going, but frankly now it feels like I'm arguing with a 12 year old.

  • @jorg95 Right.

    Ford

    Dodge

    10Foot pile of shit

    Chevy

  • you got a nice truck man what size lift?

  • what kind of rear bumper is that???

  • @liftedchevy74 It's stock, but I believe it's an HD style bumper.

  • i really love your truck sir!

  • Chevy.. (':

  • Where did you get that rear bumper

  • What size are your rims and tires? And how do you like the ride with the tires?

  • What kind if rims r those I wanna put them on my 1994 silverado stepside z71 cab 1/2 with a 3" lift

  • what is your gas milage?

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx 10 city 12 highway.

  • @jorg95 why is it so low? I have a V8 and get double that almost. I just wish trucks got 80mpg lol

  • @infringinator What year is your truck, and what size tires do you have? These all play a role in what kinda of gas mileage you'll get, newer motors are more fuel efficient. I have a 5.7l old style vortec and 35 inch tires, you'll be hard pressed to get anything better than 12mpg in the city.

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx 10 city 12 highway.

  • @jorg95 not half bad for a lifted truck.

  • Awesome!, looking to lift my 1998 Z71 about 6 inches or so here shortly. Has a Vortech Centrifigual also haha

  • great vid! nice trucks. im saving up to lift my 1990.

  • hey man i got a ford ranger 99

    2 inch lift kit

    matte black rims

    19 inch rims

    engine is 392 horsepower

i can get it up to atleast 110

  • @iiGreenlantern Cool story bro!

  • @iiGreenlantern 110mph for 392 horsepower is a little sad, sorry

  • hey man thats whatsup

im a ford guy i have an 88 bronco xlt with a 6inch lift 3 inch body lift n 38 super swampers ltb's but ive been thinking about getting a Z71 just like yours, what year is your man?

fords good but 8mpg outa my 302 isnt lol

  • Nicely done, good video, great song! Real Cool! Keep it up!!!

  • Nicely done, good video, great song! Real Cool! Keep it up!!!

  • dude! Awesome video! I'm gonna post some more of my truck soon! I have a 98, looks about the same as yours, check it out under my uploads, love that song too!

  • this sucks my trucks 2wd :(

  • @iopghjk001 you can still lift it, at that point it becomes a pre-runner

  • I love it...05 Silverado...00 or 01 Silverado...97 or 98 Silverado...the generations (ages are approximate). Anyone who lifts a truck over 6 inches is just wasting money on gas and useless shit. I'm planning on lifting mine about 3 inches with 33 Maxxis Mudders or Mastercraft Course C/Ts. Nice trucks bud. Nothing beats a Chevy.

  • @rileyjr16 Thanks. Almost right on with the years, ones an 05, other is an 01, and mine is a 99 just before they switched body styles. And I agree, anything over 6" on IFS is horrible for a dd.

  • @jorg95 Damn close. Your 99 is just a 98 the dealership couldn't sell at the time. I love the IFS on these trucks. Speaking of which, I'm a reserve cop and my brother called me cuz some black kids were stealing shit out his backyard. I did 95 in my truck, forgot about the steep RR tracks and maybe jumped 100 ft and landed on the front right tire first. Everything stayed true, nothing broke and it drives fine. Just have to wait to hit 120 chasing someone then see what happens.

  • @rileyjr16 lol, they don't change the year model on a vehicle just because they didn't sell it in time and had it left over on the lot. It's the same thing with the 07 silverado's now, there is the 07 classic, and the 07 current model. If you were to run the vin number on my truck it's a 99. It was manufactured right near my home town in Grand Prarie, TX.

  • @jorg95 Yeah, I actaully thought about the VIN # right after I clicked post. My dumbass brother once told me that. Still, my favorite trucks though. I wish I had 2 of them, one 4wd, and one 2wd with the 350.

  • @jorg95 yeah ur right about the 1999 silverados i have the newer body style and my buddy has the older one but they are both 99's

  • @rileyjr16 dodge does. :) no disrespect to the chevs though.

  • @webb6669 Well maybe now. But back then, nothing beat Chevy. I'll take a 98 Chevy with the 350 over anything these days.

  • @webb6669 I actually like Dodges though. The new ones are sexy as hell.

  • the Mercedes-Benz S550, Smart Fortwo and Nissan Titan--all of the cars on this year's list of the Worst Cars on the Road are (still) made by domestic companies. That includes the Dodge Dakota, Chevy Tahoe Hybrid and Chrysler Town & Country. The only American car company with zero vehicles on the list? Ford.

  • @mikefromspace ok.....

  • what brand wheels you got

  • @LarryGobble2 Just sift through all my comments, I answered that about a month ago.

  • ford and dodge fans will bitch but Chevys look the best lifted. square bodies good, bubbly fords and dodges suck a fat one

  • besides duramaxs, at 0:23 thats a beautiful site:)

  • @chevroletboy7 Those are all gas trucks.

  • how much lift do u got on that thing

  • people who like chevys are fucking retarded

  • chevy suck dick to all the people that like chevys are fucking retartes

  • @tanner1384 Yes I'm retarded, but at least I can spell.

  • @tanner1384 if you dont like chevys why watch it? seeing what a real truck is made of?

  • How much did all of that cost?

  • @taylorandtorsten3 Tires, wheels, lift, and install, around $3700

  • @jorg95 thats good aint it? the price

  • @chevroletboy7 $3700 for wheels, tires, lift, and install is a pretty good price.

  • @jorg95 350 or 305? wat year

  • @chevroletboy7 It's a 99 with a 5.7L 350 v8.

  • sick truck dude this is exactly what i want my truck to look like

    is it 1500 or 2500

  • @taylorandtorsten3 It's a 1500

  • @jorg95 wheres this shiloh ridge offroad park at? looks cool

  • @chevroletboy7 Shiloh ridge is in Alto, TX

  • nnice rims bra. wht brand are they?

  • @emramz18 They are Mb Shakers

  • @emramz18 dubs.

  • 13 people bought a ford.

  • how are the directions on the lift from what i saw they are horrible.

  • @tbrandlein I had heard this lift is particularly difficult to install. For that reason I let a shop do it, but I'd say if you have the right tools and are the least bit mechanically inclined you could do it yourself. At least that would save you $600.

  • @jorg95 what do the directions look like are they clear and easy to follow i installed my 5in trailmaster lift on my old jimmy so ill be installing my lift im either gonna get this lift or go with the 6in rough country lift. what do you think i should go with?

  • @tbrandlein I didn't look at the directions. If you're getting it installed by a shop you don't want to open box's cause then they'll blame you for missing parts. I'd go with the dick cepek of the rough country, it's a better quality lift.

  • @jorg95 where do you get a dick cepek lift at?

  • @jorg95 and i will be installing it saves money and i enjoy putting my lift kits on.

  • @jorg95 what size tires???

  • @pinecarpenter 35x12.5x17

  • im thinkin about doin the dick cepek lift. how do you like it?

  • @fordgtrcr I love it!

  • nice trucks man

  • Grea Truck great video great song i have a 91' Silverado lol

  • How much did the tires cost yall? awesome trucks.

    Trev

  • @glockamasta I think for my 35x12.5x17 Bfg M/t's they were $305/tire.

  • @jorg95 aight. thanks bro. happy mudding!

  • @glockamasta if you know some people, you can get them pretty cheap. I got 35/12.5/16 big horns for about 290/tire. But another guy was going to sell me 35/12.5/17 BFGs for 800 for all 4 with moto metal rims. So just get to know some people if you are planning on buying them.

  • @NorthGwinnett23 cool. sounds like a good deal to me. have fun with your truck!

  • @glockamasta

  • nice trucks, i loved three in one pic near the begginning. how much did those tires cost you? awesome video bro

    Trev

  • lookin clean man!

  • Don't get me wrong i like your truck, just not some things. And when you crank the torsion bars it makes it a rougher ride than it already is.

  • @jorg95 I got that same truck except a lot nicer and i've never heard of those keys. I've heard of cranking the torsion bars but thats it.

  • @NorthGwinnett23 I like how you refer to your truck as "much nicer". I guess no one has ever taught you about be gracious or courteous. But that doesn't surprise me given your little knowledge about trucks. When you crank your torsion bars, what do you think you're turning? You're turning the "torsion keys". So yes, you have heard of "keys", you just didn't know it.

  • @jorg95 i agree 100% i thought it was a very nice truck some people dont have any common courtesy. I also know exactly what your talking about makes the ride alittle more stiff tho

  • @NorthGwinnett23 hey man torsion keys is where the torsion bars mount in the rear cross member and when you tighten or loosen the bolt it lifts or lowers the front of your truck. but crank it to much your truck will be too out of alignment that you cant get to factory specs.been there done that

  • whered u buy the lift from?

  • what do the keys do?

  • keys? wtf is that?!

  • @NorthGwinnett23 Torsion bar keys.

  • @NorthGwinnett23 haha, dumbass

  • how much was the lift?

  • @D86shanks $1250

  • so when we gonna get to see some new vids ????

  • @urdadddy1 I've been extremely busy with school, I'm just focusing on graduating right now. I might be uploading some hunting videos soon. I'm also working on getting a wheeling trip organized over winter break and if that happens expect multiple videos, although they will most likely be of my jeep.

  • @jorg95 think i could join in on that trip

  • @thetheipad Hell, if you live in texas and want to meet out at Barnwell off road park, I don't care.

  • @jorg95 i dont livin texas but me an some friends been trying to make it up there since last july

  • what size tires you runnin ?

  • In the begining of the video, the 200- reg cab silverado in the middle, do you know if thats 2WD or 4WD? iv been lookin for a lift for mine but have 2WD and been havin a hard time finding a good one

  • @warner112809 It's a 4wd, in this video he has a 3" body lift and ford keys. With 35x12.5x17 Mickey thompson mtzs

  • @jorg95 why not get chevy keys? im guessing ford keys lift it higher?

  • @sixtreyimpalaSS Well if you're driving a chevy you already have chevy keys. But yes ford keys add about an 1" of lift without cranking.

  • @jorg95 well i ment aftermarket chevy keys lol but i didnt know that.. thanks

  • @sixtreyimpalaSS Any aftermarket key you get for a chevy is going to be marked up because of the "brand name" like rough country or any other brand that might sell them. And essentially they are the same as ford keys. If you go to a ford dealership and go to the service center you can get the keys pretty cheap.

  • @jorg95 would it matter what year??

  • @sixtreyimpalaSS I would just get the keys that match the same year as your vehicle.

  • @warner112809 I think Fabtech makes a lift for 2wd Chevys.

  • does that lift give you any problems? like, does it wear all your parts out easy?? thinkin of gettin it :)

  • @BackInTheCountry98 Any ifs lift is going to be harder on your front end parts than stock, and it also depends on how much you crank your torsion bars. I've only replaced my ball joints (bother upper and lower) twice since I've had the lift. I'd also recommend replacing your idler arm and pittman arm when u install the lift.

  • @jorg95 is that expensive? kinda sounds it, im only a teen without a job, so yea, this might be an issue, but i should have one by winter. so are all trucks ifs ( i assume thats independant front suspension) also, what exactly are lift blocks?? at least, that make/model with that lift? and thats 6.5" right?

  • @BackInTheCountry98 The total cost to get my truck the way you see it in the video was around $3700 (lift, wheels, tires, install). Just save up, thats what I did. All chevy trucks are IFS, doge 2500's and F 250's are SFA (Solid front Axle). Lift blocks go in the rear underneath your leaf springs, when you order your lift you normally have an option of what size lift block (4.5'' or 5.5"). Ideally you wouldn't want a block and just a bigger leaf spring, this increases flex, limits axle wrap.

  • @jorg95 so, do you have to have lift blocks on the truck? are they beneficiary? pro's and cons??

  • i own a 94 silverado identical to yours but older, and i never really look inside the bay and checked out the suspension components, all i know is it has a front torsion bar and bliestein shock absorbers, but i cant see any springs? does your truck have front springs?? lol newb question but my fender wells have vinyl covers to cover the splashed water

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx Chevy 4x4 1500's from 88-07 had torsion bar front suspensions. The new chevy 4x4 1500's have struts in the front. The new chevy 2500's have torsion bars. If your truck is a 4x4 it will have a torsion bar front suspension and leaf springs in the rear. Hope that answers your question.

  • @jorg95 ohh thanks man! and yea that did! thanks again!

  • 0:49 show be on a chevy conmercil

  • nice chevys man

  • what kind of wheels?

  • @wheelus8 17x8 Mb Shakers

  • chevy! there's a real truck.

  • brad's song is the best choice !!!!

  • what year is that

  • hey man how much did those 35s cost?

  • @EthanHysaw They were about $300 per tire at discount tire.

  • @EthanHysaw

my 35's ran me $1,000 i have pro comp mud terrains

  • I know it's all depends on personal preference and what you use the truck for, but I've always liked tires tucked inside the fender. If they stick out a little that's ok...not a fan of tires way outside the fender.

  • @LGLG69 I totally agree, thats why I chose the lift I did my tires nearly completely tucked under the wheel wells. The worst lift as far as increasing your track width is concerned is fabtech.

  • i dont know about every body else but i have always been drawn to regular cab short bed 4 wheel drives

  • Thats a nice chevy, but those tires are way to skinny. Im surprised you got thru that mud honestly, but props for pullin that off

  • @dirtgod1 I've never had a single problem with my tires being "skinny". The performance of the tire has more to do with the tread pattern and the driver than it does the width. Honestly I don't really care for mudding, I'd rather go trail riding and attempt more technical stuff, but either way I haven't had a problem with my tires in the 4 years I've been running them.

  • u bastard u got all the fuckin body styles im jealous they look great

  • did u do the lift your self

  • @Blondegrowler I had a shop do it. If I had to do it over again I'd go ahead and install it myself.

  • ford keys.. what kinda ford keys did you use.. do they make a diference.

  • @chef979 Just go do a ford dealership or a lot of websites sell them, just make sure they are for an f-150 and they'll work for a chevy. The ford torsion keys add about 1.5'' of lift as compared to chevy torsion keys. But your cv angles are still going to be like crap so you need to be careful

  • @chef979 whats the dif from ford torsion keys and just cranking chevy keys.

  • @chef979 I believe it's the shape of them. When you put ford keys in without any crank on them it's equivalent of cranking stock keys 1"-1.5".

  • how is the 01 silverado lifted?

  • @71chevellerider In this video it has a 3" body lift, ford keys and 2" blocks on 35x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson M/t's

  • awesome truck! the tire and wheel package look good, whats the width of the wheels?

  • The heart beat of america. Good job dude.

  • Great truck man, keep on muddin' :)

  • how much is your lift and how big are your tires?

  • @4986hunterofsouth The lift was around $1250 and the tires are 35x12.5x17

  • bitchin'

  • nice truck man. Im tryin to talk my stepdad into lettin me lift mine, cause Im only 15 and have no money. have you had any problems since you lifted it?

  • @4wheelermaniac500 Not really, but I've had to replace my ball joints twice since I lifted it (August 2007) but I do wheel it quite a bit. I would say if you lift it prepare for your front end parts to ware a little easier.

  • @jorg95 alright thanks. I got a job this summer so hopefully by the end of summer I can.

  • what is that like a 6inch lift

  • nice truck gay rims

  • @southerncountryboy98 Please for the love of God don't use the word rims I can't stand that. They are wheels I don't know what the hell a rim is.

  • nice truck man,and i like the work youve done,im a ford guy but chevy is a very nice truck im not gona lie, have fun with her! and good luck boggin!

  • love the chevy n love the song... <3 kayla

  • 2009 & 2010 's have the OBAMA MOTORS, but theyre still the best

  • wonder why U hate Obama so much, hes not that bad president at all.(european point of viev)

nice truck ,just not for european city roads and petrol prices :D

  • @maciek77winiarski well he's trying to socialize us, but Europe is already that way so it doesn't see that bad to you

  • This truck is a mid 90's z71.

obama was probably still in saudia arabia in the 90's.

This truck has nothing to do with obama,or the government.

  • great lookin chevys

  • really enjoyed the video man. chevy all the way!!!

  • this fucking song lol its on alot of vids hahahaha

  • Sweet Truck mane! I love this song for some good ole Chevy videos!

  • @jorg

I like your truck!! Just not GM's ways.

  • @chums2007 Agreed.

  • @Jorge

YouTube search Obama motors or government motors. I guarantee you'll see some lol- worthy stuff

  • @chums2007 WOW, you've convinced me, my truck is a piece of shit. Do I agree with GM being bought out and run by the government? NO. But thats not going to keep me from buying older used chevy's from before all of this shit.

  • @jorg95 agreed older chevys rock

  • @chums2007

GM repaid their debt with interest already! America made money off GM five years ahead of the deadline. GM makes some of the best trucks in the world, and its not why they needed to be bailed out. dont talk shit unless you know what your are talking about.

  • @Jorge

Doesn't matter who owned your car company when you bought it, Obama owns it now! That bad bowtie on your truck represents support of Obama- I think I just puked a lil in my mouth!

  • Cool truck except ITS OBAMA MOTORS!! I'll ride a horse for trasportation before I'd buy something from GM government motors.

  • @chums2007 Thats probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Number one my truck is a 99, 10 years before Obama ever came in office. Number two my truck was bought used, as far as I'm concerned I haven't gave "OBAMA MOTORS" anything.
